When I saw that the PS3 went down $100, it was an instant sell for me. As soon as the new console came out, I went out and bought it along with Infamous and The Show. I haven't regretted it (don't think I ever will since the xbox sucks when we are talking about baseball games)... even though learning how to hit and reading pitches is killing me.

I did the same thing when the 09 version was released. Wasted no time and bought PS3, definitely worth it. In fact my Xbox 360 is growing dust. I'm even considering getting rid of it as I'm tired of it freezing on me all the time. PS3 haven't frozen on me yet *knocks on wood* I should have bought ps3 instead of Xbox 360 when I did.

I did the same last week. Traded my 360 PAL for a slim PS3 and ordered MLB 09 The Show. And I still don't believe what I see when I play the game. So polished, so many details, awesome.

im a big baseball fan, but a 360 owner. im a big baseball fan and refuse to buy 2k because of how arcady it is. i really like the show, played it before, and am strongly considering getting a ps3 just for it. i currently have about 4100 dollars saved, so it would definitely take a chunk, and my paychecks are usually about 200-250 every 2 weeks. i dont pay bills either, so its all basically spending money/savings for the future. should i get a ps3?

If your 360 keep freezing on you, GET PS3!! I've had 360 for like over a year, maybe a year and half and I got tired of it freezing on me! When I got PS3.. couldn't believe it haven't froze on me yet.. and it's been since March! Worth it! The rest of my games is gonna be for PS3.

Well, I agree with Spanky; however, the small little dent you spend on a PS3 and a copy of the Show will actually save you money because you will spend alot of time with this game and keep you from possibly spend some money on anything else.

Something must be seriously wrong with me...Im a 40 yr old man who just got in my car and drove down to EB games and bought the new PS3 just for this freakin game!!

I was just that fed up with 2K baseball that I couldnt take it anymore

Oh well...Im loading the game now....let's see if it was worth it....

mlb2k9 is a good basball game with the right sliders you could have got mlb the show on the ps2 same game i was going to buy aps3 for this game it took my lady to stop me from doing that so i play this game on the ps2 and i play mlb2k9 on the best console out 360

I tried to like 2k9. Tried slider changes (although i could've tried more) and kept trying to get into the game. The biggest problem for me is that the franchise mode is terrible. You might be able to work the sliders for season mode or get good online play...but for franchise mode there is nothing you could do to fix it.

You're not alone...i'd venture to say that more than half of the people in the MLB forum have done the same thing, myself included.

Come back around next February and you can see the countless number of threads people create asking if they should do the very same thing.

It's definitely a system seller!

PS3 is a DVD player (obviously a Blu-Ray player), MP3 player, video player, has internet, & also The Show... great combination.

In theory, you'll spend less money on other endeavors. But you'll also spend less time studying, resulting in poor grades, forcing you to drop out of school, leading to a series of menial jobs at fast-food joints. You'll lose friends and self-esteem, causing deep psychological trauma, leading to an array of health issues.

Isn't this trolling too? But anyway, I have a 360 and only buy 2k because I have to. With sliders you can get a decent game and I really enjoy the analog pitching controls. However, if MLB the Show 10 has analog pitching, adjustable camera views, and weather effects, I am jumping in.
