I haven't posted on this forum in years but what happened? Why are so many unhelpful (not just this post, I've seen many others), seems a peculiar tone for a forum of similar minded enthusiasts.

It was the full game.

I also noticed that salaries are not correct, again, but have the right number of years.

The generic heads look better this year, and have some lighting/shadows.

My FAVORITE part is how we can field with last year's camera, but hit with broadcast cam. That's outstanding, and I have a video of Roy Haladay's motion, to show how amazing it looks, but i cant figure out how to upload it until I get home, I guess.

The salaries cannot be correct, and I'm surprised to hear that contracts have the correct number of years because I was under the impression that wasn't allowed either...

Didn't they have something similar is last years version where you could adjust the speed of the pitch?

Its tough to see cause of video quality, but jeter gets taken out by a slide, and throws a lollypop to first.

Played it just now, was very impressed! I expected the graphics to be better than they were, but then again the TV Best Buy was using wasn't as good as the one I have at home and I was standing less than a foot away from the 50 inch screen b/c of the controller cord, and the game I played was Overcast weather. The last 09 game I played was on my TV and a sunny game with shadows, etc. Also, I usually play with Outfield view for pitching and offset for hitting, and I played with Catcher view only for the 1 inning I got in. Played with Boston vs. NYY at Fenway.

The PS3 controller at Best buy was placed in armor that made it hard to hit the Start button! I hit it with my key, but then it was stuck down, and during my game it kept pausing!

I wanted to go after work and get more time in, wonder if they'll switch the controller out. will try to post some pics I took later.

It is not the speed of the pitch. It's how long the CPU will take in between pitches.

By any chance were you playing in Raleigh, NC? I left the game paused as Boston/NY, and I had problems with the start button too...haha.

So does this mean teams will have an unlimited payroll to work with? This is what I hated about the franchise mode last year. You didn't have to get creative unless you decided to play with house rules. There were no payroll restrictions placed on you.

That's disappointing if that's the case, not a game breaker or anything but disappointing nonetheless.

just played it at my best buy and all i can say is wow..i've played 2k until i decided to get a ps3 this year and cannot absolutely wait to get this game..only thing though is i played with atlanta and my buddy was the mets..we were playing in new york and i wore the blue jerseys..only problem was the hat I wore was the one Atlanta wears with their sunday red unis..anybody know if you can change hats or no?

Payroll was never unlimited unless you played with budgets OFF.

...and I've posted it quite a number of times now....with 30 team control.....you will be able to "slim down" payroll AND get accurate contracts if you "get creative"......and still give control back to the teams you want when you're done.
