Holy crap! I just saw a plane land in the background at PETCO Park! Forgive me if this isn't new, but I've never seen that.

I also noticed that they don't always use the above intro, and sometimes will do a generic intro.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I'm sure someone already heard it but I was just playing a game online and i layed down a sacrifice bunt. The commentators talked about how it's one of those "little things" that win games. Then they mentioned how "I wouldn't be surprised if someone made a thread about it online". I lost it.

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
Hopefully this hasn't been posted, I'm not going to read the whole thread, but I played my first exhibition game with the Twins and I was up 5-2 in the 9th. I brought Nathan in to close it out, and when I he was warming up a person from the crowd shouted, "Fat Lady's singing now!"
I thought it was a nice touch.
Also liked seeing a fan fall over the railing reaching for a foul ball, but I think someone already mentioned this.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
Here's a few things I've noticed:
-Yankee Stadium digital and analog clocks dynamically update. It's cool to see the clock on the scoreboard change from "7:15" to "7:16" in the MIDDLE of an at-bat. Never seen that before in a baseball game.
-Rogers Centre outfield LED's change displays between innings, just like they do in real life. I saw a message on there saying "Happy Birthday Michael" and it made sense to me, since they usually do things like that on those screens between innings. Pretty cool stuff.
-Has anyone heard the music that plays during relief pitcher practice pitches on the mound? It's hilarious most of the time. I had the entire "Home On The Range" play while warming up Jesse Carlson out of the pen, and I have NEVER heard that song played on an organ in all of my years of attending baseball games. It was corny and ridiculous, but hilariously awesome. If that doesn't make me want to give all of my relievers practice pitches, I don't know what will.
-While pitching against Jacoby Ellsbury with Ricky Romero, Dave Campbell says, "And these two guys know each other well, both were drafted in the first round of the 2005 draft". Amazing attention to detail!
-Later, when Ellsbury reached base, the ticker stated that Romero led the Majors in pickoffs in 2009. After seeing that information, I took a chance and successfully picked off poor Jacoby.
-After the Yankee infield made adjustments to cater to Ken Griffey Jr. at the plate, Rex (or Dave?) said something to the effect of "And because of this staggered infield, A-Rod is all alone on the left side, we'll see what happens"
I've only played three games of MLB 10 so far, so something tells me there's going to be a lot more in store for me down the road. Already very impressed with the new "little things" they added this year.Last edited by CarryTheWeight; 03-03-2010, 03:31 AM.Owner of URWL CAW WRESTLING: http://www.rantboard.net/Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
its WAY to overkill in this years game. I see about 2-3 per half INNING. I use pitchers view when pitching or else I would probably see even more.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
hit a hard 2 hopper to first, it takes a funny hop and the first baseman protects himself instead of fiellding the ball and it caroms off his shoulder into the outfield. Scored a base hit because of the bad hop.Comment

I hit a foul ball down the line, and a fan reached over the wall to try and grab the ball, but fell over the wall and onto the field. It was hilarious. And this happened in real time,no cut scene.Last edited by CarolinaBlue704; 03-03-2010, 10:51 AM.Comment

close play at first, runner is called safe and the first baseman goes to toss the ball around the horn. Throws his arms up and confronts the first base ump.... that was awesomeComment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I threw a pitch up and in and hit the opposing team's pitcher. He fell to the ground, and immediately the manager ran out to him. This was followed by Rex saying he would have to leave the game due to an injury. I've never seen a player injured by getting hit by a pitch, and it was a nice touch having the manager run out to him.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
Playing as a left fielder in RTTS, my pitcher gives up a 3 run home run to put us down 6-1. The crowd groans, except for one guy who yelled "Oh no" in a very disappointed voice. Nice touch to add things like that.Comment
