Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I did see, with RTP, a comparison of the starting pitchers. Both pitchers had been getting rocked so they had been removed from the game already and Matt V. made reference to that. I thought that was cool. That was during a franchise game.Comment

I have seen nothing like this. I am trying to figure out what I am missing out on as far as stat overlays using RTP vs Broadcast.

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
Fred Lewis got his 267th career hit a couple games back. A banner appeared saying he just tied Dave Campbell on the all time career hit list. That amused me.
Before my last game I was prompted at the lineup screen that Aaron Rowand is hitting .189 against RHP this year, and I should bench him.Comment

Even the newspapers got a facelift.....
Reading mine after a ST loss in which I got rocked, it had a quote from manager Manny Acta: "Sometimes, there's games where the other team does everything right. Today was one of those days."Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I was playing as the Dodgers and I noticed that the back of Russell Martin's jersey read "J Martin". I went to the player edit screen, but of'course the names weren't editable. I later found out that the J is there to honor his mother Suzanne Jeanson. I thought that was a nice little touch. It would be cool if it they brought it up in the booth.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I can't say enough how much I like seeing the catcher remove his mask to catch popups. Awesome little thing added this year!
Not to mention, the ability to edit player accessories. I don't care if the Indians still wear the old style batting helmets and catcher's masks in real life-----I have them all wearing the new helmets and the new mask. The new mask looks awesome!Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
In my franchise Jayson Werth has hit 2 monster shots down the line; one in left and one in right. The only problem was both of them were foul by about 2 feet, so I saw the umpires come together both times and go to video review to determine that it was not a homer. Then in my 4th game of the season Werth gets hit with a pitch and it out for a week.
P.S. All 3 of these things happen in the 1st 4 games of the season, so apparently the game has a vendetta against Werth.

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
Wow, I just slid to make a nice catch in CF and I saw the batter take off the helmet and throw it into the bench. I know that was in 09 also, but the batter no longer has his cap underneath. I see hair! It was so weird in 09 when the batter would take off his helmet to see his cap underneath. I know a very few people do that, but that's a minority.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I just finished playing an online game against the Yanks as the Braves. I ended up winning in the 10th with a 2-run walk off shot, courtesy of Brian McCann. So the game cuts to the dog pile scene at the plate, and I'm able to get a pretty good look at the top of McCann's dome. Sure enough, they have his very thin, almost balding hair down to a tee. Any other game would've just given him a normal, non-balding, short blond haircut.
I know this might sound weird to some people, but I just wasn't expecting to see that...

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I am sure someone else has seen and perhaps mentioned this, but it was a first time for me. So I am getting spanked by the Rays. At about the 7th or 8th inning, after a base hit, the announcer says that the Rays are winning because they are doing all the little things it takes to win a game. He said that people will be talking about this game tonight on the internet. They might even call it the little things thread. I really cracked up laughing on that one. I hate the announcers, but that one statement made me want to forgive all of the stupid stuff they say on a regular basis.Comment

Re: MLB 10: The Show - The Little Things Thread
I didn't read the whole thread to see if someone posted this and I never saw it in any of the old iterations of the game. But I was playing the Angels with my Yankees franchise in Anaheim. Jeter lined a triple down the right field line and Abreu threw the ball in. The next shot was of what looked like Aybar giving the ball back to the pitcher and talking to him. Then, they showed Jeter talking to the 3rd base coach off the bag and Aybar comes running up and the coach pushes Jeter to get back on the bag. They tried the hidden ball trick and almost got me out. I thought it was a funny touch.Comment
