I can;t start a franchise. Everytime I try to play the first spring training game it freezes.

I have a suggestion for this thread.

I think it is not enough to use the format being used to describe the bug. I think that since there are different settings the game uses such as turning certain features on or off & also different levels of hitting & pitching, that those of us who are posting bugs should also post exactly what settings we are using at the time the bug occurs.

This will help the developers actually recreate the bug for themselves when testing it.

Just my 2 cents.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

Game freezes sometimes when I press the select button at the beginning of an at-bat. Has happened twice in the last two games I've tried. Very annoying because I'll be in the 6th or 7th inning when it freezes and nothing is saved.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

So far I'm 2 for 2 in franchise games.

Cpu signs player in middle of season and always assigns them to AAA no matter the rating or salary. ex. John Smoltz signs 11.0 and in AAA.

How did it happen or how do you trigger it?

In pre game batting practice. After hitting my 10 pitches I hit X to move on before the animation is done and the screen freezes. I can still here the crown and things going on but it will not leave the frozen screen. Have to power down the Ps3 and reboot the game.

Can you repeat it?

Yes I have got it to do it twice more besides the first time. Don't want to try again.

Sorry just went and played RTTS again and now it happens every batting practice whether I hit a button or not it freezes period cannot advance my RTTS at all.

I have tried turning batting practice off and it will advance past the day and I can now play games. However once I turn batting practice back on it starts locking up again right at the end of practice and still have to shut down and restart the console. Hope this gets fixed I really like this new feature. Thank you.

All modes but RTTS. Mainly Manger Mode on any game.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

Several bugs happened (I was in Manager Mode). These are a few I was able to recreate more than once:

1. Hit-and-run makes my batter lay down a bunt.
2. AI fielders get stuck against stadium boundries (walls, etc) and run in place while other fielders just stare at baseball on ground while batter gets inside-park-HR.
3. Some of the baserunner window runners on live hit balls in play show up caucasion instead of african-american, etc.
4. Can't sub a pitcher defensively to another position to perform double switches or just to have fun. this was possible to perform with MLB09.


How often can the bug be reproduced?

The Hit-and-Run turning into a Bunt-and-Run I can create over and over (in Manager Mode).

Play in a baseball park with funky OF walls (Pittsburg, Houston, Detroit, etc) and hit a ball into a funky corner and watch AI fielder get stuck (while teammates just stare at him).

Try to move a P to LF to perform a dbl switch...get msg saying you can't.

I fast forwarded half an inning while pitching in the top of the 6th and when I was at bat at the start of the next inning Pujols (he's on my team so he shouldn't even be out there) was sitting on the mound behind the pitcher)

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Fast forwarding a half inning again while pitching didn't reproduce it so I'm not sure what exactly triggered it.

When the ball crosses the plate there is a hesitation where it seems the ball stops for a fraction of a second, then continues. I have only noticed during online games. With this animation if a batter swings and misses at a 3rd strike, it appears that the ball is foul tipped back to the backstop. Not sure if this was designed this way.

Just about every pitched ball online.

Dropped 3rd Strike and throw to first over threw 1st baseman (I know Patch Fixed This Part). This is my problem: After ball went into outfield, nobody came to pick up the ball, I was unable select a field to run down the ball so the runners ran all the way (LOL) Can you tell me if this part was fixed with Patch #1?

I was at bat and swung. My bat broke and the ball went weakly in the air to 1B. The 1Baseman tried to catch the ball and it bounced off of him and was ruled foul. The screen went back to showing me at bat but it was stuck in the view like it was after I hit the ball. All the action just stopped. My guy is back to standing at the plate waiting to hit but the fielders are just standing there in the positions they were in after the previous play and they aren't doing anything. I can go to the pause menu but the option to exit is blacked out there, so basically I have to turn off the game and turn it back on to get out of this.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

As this seems to be a very specific event it will be really hard to reproduce.

This does not follow the format of normal bugs.

Since the patch came out when I try to quit the game after I finish by pressing the PS button & then choosing the "quit game" icon located above the DVD icon of the game on the XMB, I get the whistle sound like when you first turn on the PS3 by pressing the PS button & it actually turns off my PS3 controller too.

This issue only started post patch.

Ditto this. I froze in the loading screen going into an RTTS game as a pitcher (right after a simulated game if that matters) so I tried to quit game...re-started.

I got 4 players with 2+ month injuries and placed them on the 60 day DL
This should "open up" 4 spots on my rosters to sign FA's from the FA list.
I instead get the same message as last year that I must release a player in order to sign a player from the FA list.

This isn't a bug but potential ratings need to be fixed numerous star players are having potentials of C's, D's or F's and their ratings are declining fast.
