What game mode did the bug happen in?

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

Playing a game my Cubs vs Milwaukee in Milwaukee. Announcer mentions a Brewers player has a lot of experience in this park from his days in Cleveland. That makes no sense.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Only happened once, haven't been able to re-create it.

It happens at least once every five games. Announcers call the play that hasn't happened:

- The ground ball goes by the fielder for a single, but the Announcer has called it like an out: "that will end the inning" or a similar out call. Announcers never make mention that it was a hit, such as "No, it got by him".

- The grounder is played and an out recorded, but the announcers call it as if it's a hit. "That's a single into RF" as the runner is thrown out.

- A ball is cut off in the outfield, holding the runner to a single, but the announcer still calls it as an extra base hit. "That'll go for extra bases" as the runner stops at first.

These close play calls are not corrected by the announcer.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

Happens frequently in games. It's at least once in every five games, often once per game for a few games in a row.

It is a stat bug. I have played 9 games (won 4 lost 5) and in the pitchers stats, the addition of the losses is 6 and not 5! Same in the number of games played it says 10 games and not 9.


How often can the bug be reproduced?
I don't know but now the "extra"-loss/game is now added to each stat.

Playing with the Twins vs Boston.
Pat Neschek on the mound.
Could not replace him.
I got a creen telling me the pitcher can not leave the game.

I could still play but could not replace my pitcher.

Seems to happen every season with my position player. The season starts off and the manager warns me that I do not have the green light and Ishould not be stealing... Okay, well, cool story bro, but I am not stealing. Now, in the 6th game, the game ends, without any steals or steal attempts or caught stealings, and I get a letter from the manager that I am benched indefinitely for trying to steal at will. Uhm. I'm NOT stealing. I usually lean back towards the bag because I don't want to get picked off. One time in the previous season, the manager called a hit and run and the player missed the ball but I had already committed to the "run" portion, and again, called me for stealing. Got benched when the batter missed the bunt on a suicide squeeze!

How often can the bug be reproduced?

It's happened three consecutive RTTS seasons. I am not stealing but the manager gets mad at me for stealing.

if you select "view today's games" and select your game from that screen, or select "play your team's games"

thats not a bug. since you picked 30 team control the computer is waiting for you to play all the games. its not gonna sim games without your instructions. in order for you to get the out of town scoreboard working you need to view todays games and sim each game except your own.

This one is not that important, more of a presentation error...but

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it? if you call for a mound visit to your catcher, pitching coach comes out and that is 1 visit. Yet if the pitcher struggles a bit more in the same inning, the CPU will show your pitcher get a mound visit to calm him down, even though you didn't ask for one...and he stays in the game. Therefore he can get 2 or more and stay in the game.

How often can the bug be reproduced? Often when in the right situation. Visit the pitchers mound and then if he struggles, CPU will show more visits (without you requesting them).

another one that is not important, and this one existed in 09 version as well:

Can you recreate it? if you choose to play a player at a position he's not listed for by choice, if you fast fwd a 1/2 inning or more in game, the CPU takes control of your team and subs out the player who is playing at a postion he's not listed for.

How often can the bug be reproduced? everytime


not a big deal, but sometimes it's fun to play a player at a different position (regardless if IRL he can and The Show doesn't list it). I like to play IF in OF if I have a lot of good IFers... but if I try to fast fwd in a game, they get subbed out.

Ground ball, just foul along the first base side. First baseman Casey Kotchman still tries to field the ball but bobbles it. Play is scored an error on Kotchman even though it was a foul ball. Play is recorded in the replay vault as 'Someone made an error on the play' (!)

100 franchise games in only 1 bug that needs to be fixed.

<!-- message --> First of I'm loving this game and i've yet the see the CPU make a trade for me. There's only one problem that I would love to see fixed in a patch everything else I can live with. SCEA has to fix the fielding problem with the ball going under the infielders' gloves and going into the outfield for singles or doubles. I've lost anywhere from 7-10 games and a no hitter in the 8th yesterday because of that. Someone said this has been a problem for the past few years but I think it needs to be brought to their attention so they can fix it ASAP.

check swing on a 3-2 count on a pitch that was up and in. the batter turned his back on the pitch, the play was checked by the first base umpire, who called it no swing, and i returned to the batter's box on a 4-2 count. announcer called it ball four. i then flew out to center on the 7th pitch of the at bat.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

i'm not sure...haven't tried, not my job. i don't get paid to test games out, i pay to play games that should've been tested thoroughly before being shipped out.

and in the game log it says "Byrd walked on a 3-2 pitch. Byrd flied out to Anderson (F8)."

also in the box score it has him down as 0-2 for the game so far as well as a walk.

Galarraga pitching. Swisher hits the ball down the line, it stays fair and bounces off the wall. Then it's randomly ruled a ground rule double for no apparent reason at all.

This might be considered a bug by some...

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem in RttS... I started a career as a closer and was drafted by the Athletics. In my first season I had 35 saves, 9 holds and my ERA was like 0.35 (this was on All-Star difficulty)... I got traded to Boston that season (it was me and another prospect for David Ortiz), then Boston later sent me to the White Sox. Well, after the 2010 season I signed a 2-year deal to be in the Triple-A pen, and just before the 2011 season started, I get a message telling me I've been sent down to Double-A because I've been doing a poor job lately, even though the season was 2-3 days from actually starting. Well, I ended up just dealing with it and pitching lights out ball for the Double-A club (had an ERA of like 0.75 in 12 appearances, which by the way, I had to re-earn the closers job) before I got called up to the Triple-A team.

I was immediately put in the closer's role (no injuries, they said it was because I was an "overachiever" and they needed me). I get one save opportunity, bases loaded and two down, I strike out the guy. The next day, they send me back down and say how bad I've been.

This basically just keeps happening over and over... I didn't give up a run in about 20-25 innings at the Triple-A level, and I was even an all-star both years, however, once again at the start of the 2012 season I'm back in Double-A and they once again tell me its because of how bad I've been.

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it?

From documenting the MANY times it has happened, it occur when a runner has reached first base, and the pitcher goes into the stretch. As soon as the start his windup, the game speeds up 3x as fast and makes it literally impossible to ever throw a good pitch. I does not happen every time a runner reaches, and usually only once per at-bat. The very next pitch that is thrown (without pausing in between) seems to mess up the pitching animation and the speed of the pitching meter and the animation of the pitchers windup do not sync up, and makes it very hard to locate a pitch due.

How often can the bug be reproduced?

I have pitched about 230 innings with my RTTS pitcher, and it has happened about 10 times. So it generally happens once every couple games, but can happen 0 times in a week, or 3 times in a game. It seems pretty random, but usually when runners are on base.
