My 3 pitches are fastball, circle change and curve. Should i just restart or will i eventually be able to get my fastball above 90?

Well the curve is one of the ones the effects it...I would say try starting a new RTTS and replace the curve with either a 12-6 curveball or a sweeping curve, those are two curveballs that don't effect it.

The sweeping curve is the closest you'll get to the normal curveball, it has more break but at a slightly different angle. The kunckle curve is nearly identical but I haven't tested that pitch out yet....

Alright I will just start over then, I wasn't very far anyways. I was confused at first as to why my pitches were so slow because i remember last year you started in the lower 90's right away. Thanks to everybody who tested this out and is letting know everybody else whats going on

Edit: Ok, before i do this i want to make sure i won't screw it up. so if i make a pitcher that has a 4 seam fastball, circle change and sweeping curve i should be good?

Re: RTTS Pitching Velocity Problem (Solved)

Ok so i created a new starting pitcher with a 4sb, circle change, and slurve. My stats for those pitchers for velocity are
              55 - fastball
              46 - circle change
              49 - slurve

In my first couple appearances i noticed the speeds were still down. My fastball says 90 and was between 87-89. My circle change says 79 on the scouting report but was only 75 and my slurve says 75 on the scouting report but it was only hitting 69. I didn't want to jump to any conclusions, seeing as this is a brand new player but where should i go from here? How long till my pitches are the actual speeds on the scouting report? And is the first one I started with a normal curveball doomed forever to never be able to pitch fast?

I would advise you to invest some more time into him, get his velocities for each pitch above 60 and then see if you see a difference. The scouting report shows the fastest you can throw with each pitch. I have a 94 MPH 4SFB but it averages between 92-93 most of the time, I have hit 94 several times but not every time.

So if you can get tthe scouting report to say 92 then your Fastball should be coming in at 90-91 most of the time. now if you throw your fastball low it won't hit the top speed, try testing this out in the warmup pitches before games and throw repeated fastballs up and see what you get.

If this doesn't seem to work then maybe the circle-change is holding back with a certain combo, IDK...I tested it with 4SFB and 2SFB as the other pitches...I wouldn't delete this guy just yet try to do what I said here and see where that gets you

Also off speed breaking balls don't seem to hit their max speed very often I use a splitter and it usually hit 2-3 MPH lower than the max but I will at certain points get it up to the max speed.

even though that is a bug if you just go through it and keep dumping velocity into all your pitches you will start hitting your expected speeds once they're around 80-85 points for each(im using 4sm,chup, sldr, and knu)

                    Pitch/ in game/ on paper
                    4sm/ 97/ 98
                    chp/ 85/ 83
                    sldr/ 87/ 89
                    knu/ 68/ 71

as i dumped most of my points into velocity my in game speed is close to the scouting point so if you dont want to start over you dont have to

Thats very interesting, but I know personally I would not want to wait that long, I mean it takes probably 2 1/2 months of playing with your guy until you can get to the 80s in the ratings. Thanks for the info though, might be helpful to others (:

I tried making a guy with a circle change and it was still messed up. Not as bad as with the changeup, but creating a player with a circle change and getting all velocities in the 80s, I still couldn't get over 92MPH. Creating a pitcher with a 4-seamer, a slider and a 12-6 curve using the exact same velcoity ratings, I was hit 95, 96.
A screaming comes across the sky...

Yeah i'm thinking that a circle change could also be one of the pitches that is messed up. Maybe I will just continue to plug away with my original guy and once I get my velocities into the 80's it should be right.
