Is it crazy to think they could and should fix the select button freeze at Tropicana Field? I just think it would be crazy if this horrible glitch is going to plague this game all year, because people are bound to be screwed by mistakenly forgetting it happens, especially Rays franchisers.

Count me in as one of the screwed. Had a no-no going last night at the Trop with Sabathia in the 7th inn. (just like what really happened this past weekend which was pretty cool). On top of that I had 12 strikeouts so I was on the edge of my seat to get the no-hitter (never did this in any video game) and I was hoping I would also get the 15 strike out trophy. I completely forgot about this ridiculous problem (I had played a game there already with no problem). When CC got the 12th K, I made the mistake of hitting SELECT to see the exact location of my last pitch and...

FREEZE

I had to reboot my PS3 and the whole game was lost & must be played all over again..AAARRRGGGHHH!!! I will now play every game that supposed to be at Tropicana in some other park until this is fixed. I was livid that such an intense game was ruined by this nonsense, but I would imagine that those who like to play as the Rays are much more upset. This NEEDS to be fixed ASAP!

How did it happen or what did you do to trigger it? Can you recreate it?

The base runner windows go with a black background only. You can see the runner by the everything else goes black.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Happends periodically, experinced it quite a few time already.

I have runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs. I go to square around for a bunt and I was HIT. It goes to the cut scene and it shows my player staring at the pitcher and the ball drops to the ground. Nothing happens. The game freezes as I cannot advance. I can hit start to pause the game, but I cannot do anything. I cannot exit, nothing. Basically, I lose all my progress for the game!

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Happened Once.

I haven't read through this thread at all but is anyone having freezing issues?

I've tried to play three games at The Trop and all three have frozen. One froze at the Rays' line up screen (camera was on the rays in the fish tank), once was when I tried to press select to view pitcher/batter history and it just froze again with A-Rod at the plate waiting for a pitch in the 6th inning. The last one caused me to lose a Cano grand slam, not to pleased about that.

EDIT: Well, just read two posts above me about the Tropicana freeze so I guess that's a known bug. I'll be playing their games at Target Field from now on.

Is anyone having issues with Game Tips refusing to stay OFF? Before I start a game, I go in to my settings and turn gameplay tips OFF, I then save every single thing that I can save, (e.g. profile, settings, sliders, etc...). When I reboot the system and go back and load all of my settings and sliders, Game Tips is back on again. Is anybody else seeing this? What, if anything am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help given.

Franchise (could also be done in Exhibition, Online, and RTTS if you were a pitcher I guess)

Out Pitch trophy bug

Playing in Franchise as Cardinals. Pitching/hitting at veteran and most everything else at defaults. Kyle McClellan goes 1-2-3 in the 9th all via strikeouts against the Brewers. No. 2 Brewers hitter swings and misses at a curveball, Prince Fielder strikes out looking at a fastball, and Ryan Braun strikes out swinging and missing at a curveball.

Description of trophy says out pitch must be the same for all 3, but it was 2 curveball, 1 fastball. The game also recognized the different out pitches when going into the replay mode and checking all available replays for the Brewers offense that inning (it lists the out pitch in the description.)

How often can the bug be reproduced?
Unknown as it's a trophy glitch. My PSN name is the same as OS username.

Ball either goes through player without registering an error or a line drive goes directly off a players chest with no attempt at catching the ball and no error recorded.

Twice with Matt Holliday (get your jokes out now) and once with Ryan Ludwick a line drive was hit directly at him. The player control icon appeared underneath him and he is standing directly on the ball locator icon, but the fielder makes no attempt at all at catching the ball and it just bounces off his chest. It is ruled a hit.

Hard, high chopper goes to Albert Pujols and the ball just goes straight through his chest/head & neck area, no animation of trying to catch the ball. Again ruled a hit.

How often can the bug be reproduced?
I've had it happen 4 times (twice with Matt Holliday and once with Ryan Ludwick (on line drives) and once with Pujols on the grounder.)

I have a replay saved of one of the instances with Holliday, but I currently cannot access my Youtube account after the forced merger of YouTube/Google accounts so I can't upload the vid right now.

I'v only really played Franchise and saw this happen but could be other game modes.

I like to take a couple of half swings before the pitch. But before a pitchout comes it wont let me take half swings so I always know when a pitchout is coming. Sorry if someone said this already.


How often can the bug be reproduced?

This happened to me 3 times already in 6 games into my franchise. But always when there is a pitchout.

No idea how or why it happens, my gameplay settings will not save. I turned the innings down to 1 and Game Tips off, and then I save every single thing that I can save, (e.g. profile, settings, sliders, etc...). When I reboot the system and go back and load all of my settings and sliders, Game Tips is back on again and innings are back to 9.

If it helps, I don't remember this being an issue before the 2nd patch came out, and I was able to change and save other options without any issues.

Always.

It happened two times today. First time I was hitting and the next time I was pitching.

This happened a bunch of times after fast forwarding to the next half inning. The catcher would be behind the batter for the first pitch. Didn't effect game play. Just looked odd.

4/12 roster update has Ronny Cedeno and the pitcher flopped in the batting order (should be Cedeno 8th, pitcher 9th) on both non-DH lineups for the Pirates. Ditto for the Cardinals with Brendan Ryan and the pitcher, same switch on both non-DH lineups. The latter was on 4/5's also.

Are you guys forgetting to cross-check these now?!

How often?
Use the 4/12 roster without any changes.
