exactly, no amount of patience or concentration is gonna get around the wonky fielding stuff that happens every game. At least last game I played I lost 1-0 on an error by the first baseman on a hard ground ball. Im actually happy it was a real error and not just a ball that should have been fielded but went under the glove or some sort of problem throwing it to first or with turning the double play.
Have you seen the one yet where you try to flip it to second for a double play with the SS who is very close to the bag? I did it with a light tap and he threw like an 8 foot lollipop underhanded to my 2nd baseman who was like 3 feet away. Luckily I was still able to get the throw off to first and barely got the out because there was a runner on 3rd that would have scored...
I also love that you cant see you are preloading your throw when you are receiving the turn at 2nd. More than once Ive made the mistake of pressing circle again after 'preloading' the throw and then the guy has to start all over.
I really think im just gonna turn off the throwing meter because I dont really see any noticable increase in accuracy from a soft throw. Infact sometimes its worse because the SS will bounce the throw over to first.
I also make the mistake all the time of trying to get a lead runner on like a ground ball but he takes all day to make the throw, instead of hurrying up like hes actually trying to get someone out at home...
