This game sure does pull some fishy ****. It amazes me how a big inning for the CPU is easily predictible as it always coincides with something stupid happening. Had runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out with a slow grounder to 3rd. I literally ran through the body of the guy going to 3rd without getting an out called, threw to first to get one but now apparently the game thinks I screwed up and has gone into first pitch swing mode and scored 3 runs even though the inning should have been over with. I find it amazing that I could run through the guys body with no out being called, just amazes me.

Speaking of fishy things, I played a game last night, Jeter went 3-4....got picked off after all three basehits. One was even a double, and he got picked off at 2B. Just idiotic.

It's hard not to get picked off when the pitcher goes into hit pickoff animation, and you see your baserunner still just standing there waiting for him to make his throw, then trys to get back...when i steal bases i try to not even take a bigger lead...cause most of the time they pick you off cause of the runner just standing there like ******s! LOL

^ I have auto base running on too, so the CPU was controlling everything. The CPU got Jeets on the first pick off attempt each time too. One pick off throw, job is done, Jeter is out. Way too cheap, I don't know if Jeter has gotten picked off three times in the last decade.

ya...i agree.....sometimes the game is playing really good, then one thing happens and it's like man..this sux....that is one thing that really frustrates me 2..

Yep, whenever the big inning is coming it always happens one of two ways for me. Generally it happens when I should get a K, but the ump decides to give them another ball. Next pitch they always get a hit. Then the next guy up will hit a grounder that should be turned into a double play, but my fielder just happens to mess up on that exact play and they either only end up witha Fielder's choice and the first guy advances, or they both get on base. The next guy after that will hit one right down the middle of the field allowing the runner to score on a single. The next guy afer that (no matter where I place my pitches) ends up with an RBI double or triple because the ball alway rolls into the corner or somehow ends up in the deepest part of the field. The other thing that always happens is I can tell when I'll give up a home run. The guy will take the first pitch and usually is down 0-1. The next pitch he'll swing at and get a long foul ball into the second deck of the stadium. The next pitch near the plate is always gone. Heck one time I threw straight to the dirt and Francoeur launched it 425 ft.

The last game had to be the worst game i have ever seen in my life with umps giving them balls when they should be strikes...Zach Dukes pitch count was really high half way through the games. Because of the freakin UMP!!

I guess I need to turn auto base running off. Jeter got picked of two more times tonight. He's been picked off five times in seven games to start my franchise. :

I'm not saying that i can only play 1 game and that's it....I am a 28 yr old that was currently laid off from work 1 year ago. I am also A full time college student come the end of May, and a 1st Time Father at the end of July....Some people like myself, and alot of other OS'ers are a little older than teens. I don't have the time to sit and play the game for hours in and out, and i am not even in school yet. I enjoy it as much as i can though. If that's 1 game or if it's 3.....If i do feel frustration setting in though, I will turn it off for a bit. I've been so busy lately that i can only squeeze a game in here and there. It really sux growing up...For the young ones enjoy life, and freedom while you can... I love my life though!!

I'm seriously going to consider trade of garrett jones...this guy is killing me...i am gonna change the order up some..put him at 3rd..and see how that works out....he's slumpin bad!! i feel the only players i have are McCutchen, and Milledge......My rookie shortstop is pretty darn good 2...but jones is killing me!

People really struggling with hitting should lower the pitch speed to zero. This always works and should be a sure fire way to help someone hit more.

The fielding is most likely a result of year after year people complaining about singles, and lack of doubles/triples. Regardless of your view of them SCEA listens very much to feedback and that is why so many love them, but at the same time it can lead to striking changes in how the game plays from year to year.

I see it happen to the CPU as well as me so I will deal with it as best I can. It is the throwing this year that really has me in an uproar and I cannot deal with it. The animations are just off and you never know if the fielder will toss it or gun it across the diamond.

So I don't need a 300 team batting average or 10 or more hits a game. That is just my feelings. So I am happy with hitting in general. But the fielding and throwing are wrecking things for me so I have turned on Auto Fielding and Throwing. The game plays great like this and makes the bitter pill of 2 out rallies late in the game much easier for me to swallow.
