There is one for Matt V. but I never wrote it down.

A Matt V. only option has been heaven for me.

Id been saying this for the past two years. Keep Matt V, and add Tim McCarver or dump everyone and add Buck and McCarver and take on the FOX licensing. What better than hearing the FOX intro before a playoff game in your franchise.

I like him but he's too much of a homer. For a game we don't need anyone who is a "cheer leader" for there teams so maybe having Joe Buck and Tim McCarver and maybe Steve Lyons would be the best set of three who really do not cheer for any particular team.

They can put whoever they want on 11, I'll still turn the commentary off like I do in every sports game.

I dont understand why people don't like the Fox guys, they would be 100 times better than Dave "No Personality" Campbell and Rex "Worthless Comment" Hudler. Plus the liscensing and presentation would do wonders for this game.

I would have to agree with you here. If it isn't a Matt V only box, then go with the definitive voices. These guys are the A Team. Anybody else mentioned are too closely affiliated with the team for which they cover. However, this is just my opinion.

                        re: Commentator Discussion Thread

I don't even care. Just as long as they record some dialog TOGETHER. If you can't get all 3 in the booth, then two at a time. This disjointed, lack of chemistry...the commentary just doesn't add ANYTHING to the game. The emotion almost NEVER matches the situation. A walk off in the first game of the season is the same as a walk off in a play in game.

I often just turn it off and play with My Music on.

Aside from how all over Strausberg's *edited out* he was, Costas ain't a bad commentator. I could tolerate listening to him over and over again.

                          Commentating in future titles.

The announcing has gotten kind of stale over the last couple of years. I seriously think that The Show needs to take the route Madden took, and change up the announcing in the game. Anyways, this is who I would target.

Play by play: (One of) Jon Miller, Chris Berman, Garry Thorn, or Vin Scully (assuming he doesn't kick the bucket before then)

                          Analyst one: Tim Kurkjian (spelling?)
                          Analyst two: Herrald Reynolds

I think if they were to go this route it would improve the in game presentation tenfold. Most of these guys would add a certain element of enthusiasm, to the game that has been lacking for years imo. I don't know I just can not stand the zombified commentating that is currantly in the game. Vin Scully would probably be my first choice for play by play though. His voice is borderline magical. If not Herrold Reynolds, Jon Kruk would probably be my second choice for the other analyst.

                          What do you guys think?

I would play with commentators off if Vin Scully is the announcer. He is actually very boring to listen to.

None of the above. I would be fine it the game were continued to be called by Matt V. and Dave Cambell. Can't stand Rex Hudler.

ANYONE but Berman. I loathe Chris Berman. He's a pile of crap who has somehow turned his "bit" into a lengthy career. I don't mind Campbell or Vasgersian. Hudler is not the best, but it's a video game. What I think they need to do is just add more lines for all of them.
