Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
is there any kind of work around for this with the new player vault?
I dream some day we can use this vault and create any player..have the stat history editable so you can create a player and then fill in his career...that would make creating a classic team unbelievableComment

Sorry to ask a stance/motion related question, but this one has bugged me the past couple years. Was Mark Buehrle's pitching motion adjusted at all? The most recent one has been pretty off.Comment

No.
(but who's in charge of keeping track of your head?)
While my "secret" is not an actual feature...Kolbe has shown me a way to work around to get this.
I CANNOT say anymore until the dev blog on the feature that will allow this and it will be the first post in my "Tips and Work Arounds" thread for '11

Player Vault sounds awesome! I can see that feature possibly moving towards importing RTTS players into franchises, or vice versa, or even between versions (hmmm).
Also, a few small things I was wondering:
- is the LOB stat now in the box score anywhere. (last year it was announced over PA only)
- is there some type of system for comparing player attributes during a trade for instance? Or at least a side by side of the attribute 'bars' (if that makes sense)
- are water spouts present after wins? (e.g. Comerica Park fountain, AT&T Park RF pillars)

- What do you guys think about the fielding broadcast camera? Any differences? Good or bad?

Relief pitcher appearances.
MUCH improved.
I will test more tomorrow when I get the build with the fix in it(I was working on Brian's machine where he made the adjustment to the code)...and we had 2 pitchers with 100+ appearances...a couple of 90's and mostly 70's and 60's.
He ALSO tied in the MANAGER HOOK slider to effect simmed games...so you will be able to get the simmed and game RP appearances as you like.

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
I'm guessing a "no' on the customizable leagues?
For use with a created 86 roster set, it would be amazing. Also is there any chance the "under lip" in the player edit screen can carry a "chaw" feature so we can get Lenny Dykstra correct? J/K
As far as the vault would we be able to upload teams? Say 1986 Detroit Tigers, so that we could download them while someone else is working on 86 Mets? I guess do they have the ability to group the players as a team or from a certain year?Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
I haven't seen this question in any of the previews, vids, or this thread:
Are the customize cameras only for batting and pitching? Or can we place the fielding camera anywhere within the ballpark? (I play auto-fielding, so I don't need a playable angle...just like to view the ballflight like I'm actually sitting in the stadium).
Thanks again guys.Comment

Knight,
Can you verify if they changed the stances that have the hitters front foot over the batters box line near the plate...almost touching the plate? This would not be allowed by the umpire.
Thx,

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
Someone brought this up last year which I thought was an interesting criticism that I never thought of. In past games, the ball would just land in a fielder's glove rather than the glove actually closing in on the ball.
Is it still the same case this year or has it been addressed?
It's nothing too big, but that's just a small thing that takes away from the realism a bit.Comment
