I'd love to be able to slow the pitch speed down more than the game typically allows.

Number 2 - is there a better base running option for regular gameplay? Is is still 100% on the human and 100% auto if you use the cpu? I like it better if it was more like MVP and the cpu would automatically advance base runners in obvious situations like passed balls or a runner advancing from 3rd on a single. If we choose auto base running will we have the ability to override a decision the cpu makes with a base runner (like going from 1st to third)? What options do we have in this department?
It's a little hard to answer the pitch speed slider question just because it is a personal experience. The first day I was there I was so late on all my swings because of the analog controls so I slowed the pitch speed down a lot. I was able to pull the ball a better after that. When someone else later played on that console they noticed that the pitch speed was slower when they were batting, so they changed it back.

As for baserunning, it appeared the same to me for the user controlled options. Maybe someone noticed something different. But as a note, the cpu running is better this year. You won't see as many runners being thrown out at third as you did last year. It isn't so much because of the running, but they tuned the outfielder throws so that they aren't as super accurate as last year (for both cpu and human).

Did you guys at SCEA improve progressive field for the game this year? I hope it is because in years past it has'nt looked right to me.

I've been thinking the same thing for a few years now.

Perhaps if there is a community day again next year, we could have two separate feedback threads. One for aesthetic stuff (it will include legit gripes and the over-the-top nonsense...plus guys asking for screenshots), and then one thread for the actual gameplay stuff.

Feels like those of us concerned with gameplay issues get outnumbered 3 to 1 by the guys asking why the tone of blue on the Phillies cather's mask worn only on away games against the AL isn't correct. Sigh.
You all were not the only ones. Ramone and the rest of us were wondering where the heck were all the gameplay questions.

Jokes were going around about just shipping the game with players, equipment and stadiums, but no gameplay! All jokes obviously.

Good idea about having separate sticky's for next year. Noted. And a must it seems now.

Every ballpark's been improved some. There's a screenshot of Progressive here. http://www.operationsports.com/forum...tees-only.html

I guess if you look at the amount of items that could be nitpicked on it does get ridiculous. The SCEA folks have the patience of a saint, that's for sure.

But things like netting over monument park in Yankee stadium only during the game or spacing of letters on signs...well...wow...we have come a long way in video game design, haven't we. These things really bother some folks?? Ugh...

              C
The spacing of letters on the Yankee sign did not really bug me too much. I mean I was not losing sleep over it lol But it was easy to see that the E and S were too close together compared to real life. And the whole point of Community Day Discussion is to give feedback to Sony so they can correct things in the game that they may have missed.

And I don't see anything wrong with that.

We are just all trying to make the game look as 100% to real life as possible.

And as it turns out Sony infact did fix the spacing of letters on the Yankee sign so I guees Sony thought it was inportant enough to correct

You can do every inning now. Look in the other sticky thread with our impressions. 42 posted the list.

So Kev, do you think we'll still see overly aggressive CPU baserunners taking third from first on hits that wouldn't warrant it?

It seems if the outfielder throws are not as accurate it would actually increase the cpu aggressiveness on 1st to 3rd. Could this type of thought be accurate?

Amen. Finding answers involving gameplay is like looking for a needle in a haystack in this huge thread.

Thanks Kevin. Some of the new batting camera options may help me with this too. The further the pitcher is away from me the better I tend to see the ball.

They tuned the outfielders to be less accurate? I am not sure how I feel about that. I recall last year never getting accurate throws to the plate even when you were throwing with someone like ankiel. but speaking of that is the catcher gonna block the plate correctly this year and stop doing that swipe tag that never gets an out lol?

Yep I was also thinking the samething after reading that.

I always felt the outfielders are not accurate at all when throwing home!

Almost every throw goes nowhere near home plate. And way up the line.

Except for the center fielder he does seem to have more accurate throws to home plate. But forget about the Left and right fielders
