As for baserunning, it appeared the same to me for the user controlled options. Maybe someone noticed something different. But as a note, the cpu running is better this year. You won't see as many runners being thrown out at third as you did last year. It isn't so much because of the running, but they tuned the outfielder throws so that they aren't as super accurate as last year (for both cpu and human).Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
You all were not the only ones. Ramone and the rest of us were wondering where the heck were all the gameplay questions.
Jokes were going around about just shipping the game with players, equipment and stadiums, but no gameplay! All jokes obviously.
Good idea about having separate sticky's for next year. Noted. And a must it seems now.
- there were some gameplay questions but they got lost in the storm of stance, uniform, and stadium edits. I am personally waiting on you guys to post your individual impressions before I ask the gameplay questions, I have a few more about ball physics, Fielding, pitching and hitting. I love analog controls and can't wait to read about what SCEA did with it in detail. I just figured I'd wait till the storm passed, maybe others are doing the same.Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Community Day Discussion Thread - Questions, Answers etc.
So Kev, do you think we'll still see overly aggressive CPU baserunners taking third from first on hits that wouldn't warrant it?
It seems if the outfielder throws are not as accurate it would actually increase the cpu aggressiveness on 1st to 3rd. Could this type of thought be accurate?
They tuned the outfielders to be less accurate? I am not sure how I feel about that. I recall last year never getting accurate throws to the plate even when you were throwing with someone like ankiel. but speaking of that is the catcher gonna block the plate correctly this year and stop doing that swipe tag that never gets an out lol?Yep I was also thinking the samething after reading that.
I always felt the outfielders are not accurate at all when throwing home!
Almost every throw goes nowhere near home plate. And way up the line.
Except for the center fielder he does seem to have more accurate throws to home plate. But forget about the Left and right fieldersIt wasn't always about outfield arms being so accurate as it was about the CPU runners making very poor decisions. I could tell every time a CPU runner was gonna be gunned out trying to advance first to third on a clean single to left. Is the CPU a LITTLE bit smarter this year, not just outfield arms being toned down?Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. This would usually happen on throw that hops to home, as if the hop always causing the ball to go to the right....its not organic.
It might be to look at this, but can you please mention? Thank you.Comment

Are there more varieties of fielding animations this year? I hate seeing the shortstop or 3rd baseman taking a couple of hops as he just lets the runner get closer before he throws. He should field the ball, set, and throw or field and throw.Comment

To the community day guys; what kind of gameplay issues did you have as you headed to The Show headquarters and also what did you notice gameplay-wise while you were there that you had suggestions and questions for?Comment

Have any of the CD guys described the new hitting camera angles that are available? I know we can do custom angles this year, but I was wondering what any of the new pre-set camera angles for hitting are like.Comment
