I don't think anything new is added this year. This year was really for RTTS from what i've read, but next year is suppose to be the year that they go nuts for franchise like they did for RTTS this year. The only real new thing to it is better trade logic.

Not sure if this has been asked but since i don't feel like reading through 232 pages of this, can we get the Brian Wilson type beard on created players this year? That beard is so e.p.i.c haha. Also can we edit real players at all like in 2K this year? Like make Micah Owings a 1B instead of SP/RP.

we've always been able to give created players beards, there are plenty of styles, including one that resembles Brian Wilson's.

and i'm fairly certain that you can edit the positions of real players, at least I think you could last year, but I don't feel like booting MLB 10 up at 11:30 at night lol

Am I the only one that thinks the improvements they've made to the trade/FA logic is significant? Everyone seems to just be blowing that off as no big deal when Russell has made mention of it in his interviews and here on the boards. I think it's going to be a significant improvement to franchise mode. I'm sure it'll get a complete makeover in '12 but I'm excited to see how it's going to play out this year as well. Am I the only one?

Everyone keeps groining that there needs to be major improvements to franchise. Please tell me what is so wrong with franchise right now? Trade logic and free agents were the major problem and it seems as though they worked on this. What else in franchise really needs to be fixed? Sure some of the menus could be reworked, but the core of franchise is pretty good. We have 40-man rosters, rule 5 draft, amateur draft ect... There are only a few tweaks that need to be implemented in my opinion such as allowing mid season coach hire/fire, adjusting budgets and such. They way some people talk you would swear the franchise mode we currently have is garbage. Even in its current state this game has probably one of the best franchise modes of all sports games. The only franchise mode that I would consider to be better right now is NBA2K11.

I'm with you, I think this is huge this year. Along with pitcher stamina and manager hook sliders being tied into simmed games this years is the 2 biggest thing for me this year. Its going to be a great year. SCEA may have saved me some money because I doubt once I start playing this game i will even worry about buying NBA2k12 next year since i'm not overly impressed with there basketball games anymore anyway. I only buy basketball and baseball anyway. I got a feeling I will get several season in before next years version of the show.

Na man I am not taking anything your saying serious but if you are referring to the Giants winning the NLCS well they were the hotter team and you cant take that away from them. All I know is this, if the Phills stay healthy then I see them in the same position they been the past 3 season, on the doorstep of a world championship.

I dunno its just i look at what a small company like ootp can do then i see the watered down franchise modes in the console games today and I just start to think that maybe they just don't feel franchise mode is as important as graphics etc. I think the dream is to have the shows gameplay with ootp franchise mode. I'll wait though cause not much else I can do.

Yeah, and for me, that's enough. If the trade logic is greatly improved, it will go a long way in making franchise mode (and RTTS) better.
