That will teach you to live in that snowed in capital....in ALABAMA!
I'll e-mail you a low-res pic that Kolbe sent me to show me it made it in to manage only mode if you like.
(his e-mail subject line was...."step back from the ledge"

I'm guessing low...since they are the generated players.
We'll have to figure something out with that.
Maybe I can convince SCEA to upload some "template" players with escalating salaries.
That may be a reach though...but I can ask.
Good question.

They put it in that room on purpose, to get your juices flowing, to make you salivate, to love how sexy and ESPN like it looked... how that one nice little ticker, just added a crap ton of presentation alone to the game!!!
Only to pull it away from you and make you a sad lonely boy inside, by saying it was not in MoM...
Then tell you just before we are leaving, they are fixing it and it will be in MoM.
See told you Kolbe is a masochist! Just look at his trophies every year in the game!!!Last edited by EnigmaNemesis; 01-16-2011, 01:03 AM.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Maybe a redundant franchise question, but is there any chance you will have the option to sim on drafts for selected teams on 30 team control franchise play or is that more likely a 2012 development? Thanks!Comment

This mode sounds intriguing. Can you go into more depth regarding the type challenges you encountered while in SD or is that part of NDA? Or maybe this is a blog?
Were there talks of utilizing the same scenarios where the user is a pitcher instead of a batter?

There are two seperate post on this matter. Post #17 & post #23 which both offer a bit more detail about Challenge of the week mode.HITTERSAURUS-REX

You will always be the batter. The goal is to have it based on real MLB happenings through the course of the season. For example, maybe have a pitcher who threw a no-no match up against a batter who went 4-4 for the week. Things of that nature. They will change weekly along with the roster updates.

Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
For us obsessive online players:
1. Will online hitting in the Play Now mode be timing, or true zone, or can each player choose?
2. Will a first inning quit work the same as last yr where game doesn't count?
3. If you play a punk and he's losing can he continue to bean you and make the score 100-2 and us honest players be helpless? Or will he get kicked out and receive a loss?
4. Can opponents have different batting views and pitching views? Could I bat from a farther away view and pitch from behind the mound view online?
5. Lastly, I'm sneaking this in bc I never have found an answer to this. Will sounds of the show work online?? Can I hear like fox and espn music online even tho my opponent can't or will this cause disconnects? Thnx!Comment

Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
So the timing is the same as meter pitching (during the delivery)? I was hoping the mechanic would be executed pre-pitch so you could still watch the pitcher. The right stick is just as responsive for pitching! You are still setting up for where you want the pitch to break. Yes, certain pitchers who have long slow motions will result in the ball falling down the shaft much slower, really depends on the pitcher. Also, when you are in the stretch the yellow release line moves up close to the top to compensate for the quicker motion.
Good questions!Comment

Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
Nope, the meter moves as the pitcher is winding up and releases when you push the stick up. You can edit the placement of the meter if you want and put it right next to the pitcher if you think that would help you see both the meter and the pitcher.

Re: MLB '11: The Show Community Day Gameplay Q&A
Is there a difference in how the pitching meter reacts based on talent level? Like; is the target area smaller for a lessor pitcher, or does it move faster in pressure situations? Kind of hard for me to explain but i think yall know what i mean..PSN: OverPar8Comment

Segment taken from Knight's impressions (part 2) posted in the attendees only thread. My question is regarding that last sentence (in bold type):
So does this mean that there's a chance that co-op might still be added to season/franchise play for this year, or is it definitely something that we have to wait until next year for?Part II
MODES
Also related to MODE play is the option to play Exhibition games in CO-OP mode. This mode is a complete blast. Even for a guy like myself who doesn't really play much. If you have 4 guys in the room 2 vs. 2.......there will be hooting and hollering. You guys have been told before, but it will be 2 vs. CPU...2 vs. 2.....2 vs. 1....1 vs. 1(these will be for online as well I believe).
While not available to season or franchise mode yet...hopefully they get this in, because this could be a lot of fun.

I was so super pumped when I heard that they finally added co-op (something I've been chirping about around here for years) and I'm still stoked about it, but then when I read that it's only for exhibition games it was kind of a major bummer. I don't mean to sound ungrateful, the game sounds beyond amazing. I'm just hoping that there's still a chance that they'll get this in for this year."There are only two seasons—winter and baseball." - Bill VeeckComment

Yeah, will not be in franchise or season this year, only exhibition and online games.Segment taken from Knight's impressions (part 2) posted in the attendees only thread. My question is regarding that last sentence (in bold type):
