Oldest I'm allowed to be at right now is high school lol, so you never know if i'd make it on college/university baseball team or anything.

But for high school, I had best on base % on my whole team and the 1 year I didn't play on the team they lost every game that season, though when I was on it, they went around .500(which is usually good for 3-4th place).

I only played one season of organized baseball - summer after 7th grade. I had played with my friends in backyards growing up, so I really wanted to give it a shot... My first practice I could barely get a foul tip swinging the bat lol. I ended up hitting 2-13 with a handful of walks and a handful of strikeouts.. I think I may have even had an RBI or 2.. and managed to steal a base lol. We were playing on 90 foot basepaths, so regulation fields... My fielding wasn't all that hot either... The coach hid me in right field lol, although I did make a couple of decent running catches in one game towards the end of the season... That was quite a thrill, just because I had been working hard at it and finally made a couple of catches. Would have liked to try pitching... my Dad said I had really good, late movement on my fastball... but I didn't really know what the hell I was doing, so it certainly wasn't intentional lol... Never got the chance, anyway. It's much easier to sit back and have a dominating career in The Show lol

Well I played little league and I'm in Babe Ruth right now... I had a choice between baseball and soccer to play in high school. I chose the soccer route... considering how much baseball/daddy ball politics there are where I live in Alabama. Here, it's all about how well your parents know the coach. My last year of little league, I got left out of the all star roster because my parents were divorced so my dad couldn't attend the all star selection meeting. I should of easily made it, I couldn't believe it when I didn't make it. I made the team every year I played before then, and had my best year that year. I remember my high school's freshman baseball team had 30 on the roster. Barely any of them got to play for obvious reasons except for the select few. I debated on whether to try out my senior year, considering I quit soccer, but decided to play on the golf team instead. I still plan on playing Babe Ruth though. Southern baseball is so corrupted...

My last year of playing was Babe Ruth (I was 15). I was pretty good all throughout Little League, and my first year of Babe Ruth I struggled and the coach I had was a complete joke. I still have home videos of my games and I pitched, well, this guy would yell at us without mercy. One game I was pitching, and getting knocked around pretty good and walking guys, and this guy is screaming at me on the mound to "throw strikes so maybe he could get home to drink beer and watch the Mariners."

I hated being that guy, the one blaming someone else, but he pretty much killed my desire to play. I was 13 at the time. I sat out a year and could never get back to the level I was on... I played one more year after that and threw hard, topping out at 84 MPH as a 15-year-old. I wish I would have stuck with it because with my frame in high school (6'5" 215 pounds) I think I could have been a really good pitcher.

Oh well, such is life. I've regained my love for the game but at 29, I'll just hope my son ends up loving the game as much as I did and I'll ensure that he gets better coaches than I got.

i always played football but i tryed one year of little league, in like ... '88? i was about 12.

Played up to High School ball, more of a basketball guy tho...baseball was just me being an athlete at a small school....we actually used to punish Von Wafer of the Boston Celtics high school team (crushed them in hoops too)...they actually let him pitch in HS, with a 55 mph fastball lol....but we went to very small school schools in Louisiana (graduated w/ 15 ppl). So if you played sports, you played them all.

No, I was actually the starting shortstop on my varsity team as an 8th grader. Didn't do too bad, hit .282. I was only about 5'4 and 105 pounds at the time.

Babe Ruth and High School ball. I'm from a military family and enlisted after H.S.

The most fun I had was playing baseball overseas against other military bases. Baseball is America's game, and was proud to play with other military members.

On a side note, at times we were challanged to find a suitable area for a playable baseball diamond. We had our own 'create a stadium' option.

Played all 4 years of high school, tho my team sucked and when I say sucked Im not kidding, won only 7 games freshman and sophmore year as jv, jr. and sr. year on varsity we lost every game but one, which was in a memorial tournament for one of my teamates, his mother died 3 years earlier and we do the tourney every year, well we ended up winning but nothing close to that again. I was pretty good 2nd basemen, played alot more 3rd base as a senior, had a decent bat, I pitched and thought I was good, just sucks when you would have fielders who can't catch or field a ball. Had my best game pitching wise against The number one team in our conference. Pitched 5 innings letting up 3 runs(exceptionally great for the team we had) struck out 4, walked 2, gave up 3 hits, after the 5th inning the team just sucked, and we lost 10-0. Thinking about trying out for my Community College but I dont know yet.

i didnt know that was possible, but thats pretty sweet
