Whatever settings the demo has set. With my comments, I'm assuming ppl who are having trouble are on the demo defaults, since if they were having such trouble on say HOF, why would they complain rather than just lower the difficulty.

If you're using "Timed" hitting, like I do.... What's the purpose of having to press R2 in addition of pushing up on the right stick. In previous years it was just pushing the stick up.... I'm not complaining about this .. I'm just wanting to understand why the extra button press.Comment

You would be surprised! Anyway you should move up a level to get some challenge out of fielding. Just a suggestion!“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
I didn't mention anything about the colors at all. The green, red, yellow have to do with the accuracy of the throw. My post was about how i had alot of errors on day 1 because i wasn't hitting true east on the controller and the user might want to check that he is indeed pointing the RS in the correct direction.I'm pretty sure the color indicators aren't regarding the power of the throw as much as it indicates what the accuracy of the throw will be based on the direction, power, and the player's positioning/situation. I haven't had a single error using analog fielding and I guess it's just been because of how I have controlled my stick "push." I've gotten "green" on every throw I've made and I haven't done the same "push" on the stick every time. During one game, I did hold the stick far too long on purpose on a cut-off man throw from the outfield and the ball went wild. So I assume the people who are havng trouble with this aren't realizing how much of a pre-load or hard push they are performing on the stick.Gamertag and PSN Name: RomanCaesarComment

Probably to keep it constant throughout all the modes. Instead of having it one way for analog and another way for the other hitting modes.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
Ok.. I can understand that for the most part.... so now follow me here ... classic base running.. to lead off it's LB and to steal it's L2.... now back to hitting.. If I push up on the RS and press R2 to influence a fly ball, wouldn't my pressing R2 cancel out my steal attempt, if I am indeed trying to do a hit and run?Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
For those that have played the demo using both classic and analog hitting...other than the obvious control aspect, do you notice a difference? When I had my 360, I noticed that analog hitting was almost a requirement on 2k. There was an option to use buttons but the variety of hits was significantly different between the two. Just wondering if this same type of thing is present in The Show.PSN: JWGoNDComment

R2 does not cancel a steal. R2 stops a runner while he is running the base-path. You would be fine!Ok.. Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
Well what I am going to do is use the warm up pitches as the means of getting down the pitchers movements in relation to the meter. Might be sort of geek-a-fied but that will make warm up pitches even more important for me.I tried this, but I'm not good enough with analog yet to go blind. While we can't put it in the corner of the TV screen, we can make it small enough and far enough away from the pitcher/batter line of sight that it can be ignored. But it's quite the challenge to pitch without it, at least at this point.
Something I would like added during warmup pitches now though is the ability to go back and from stretch - windup during warmups.
Something for wish list....Joshua:

Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
Is it possible to influence a ground ball or a fly ball without the batter taking a step or bunting?
I have influenced the flight of the ball a couple of time without him moving, but it seems as though that is not supposed to happen.Comment
