Glad am not the only one who feels that way. I think the other game has the darn circle over the plate. Looks like a damm video game
But if the graphical part is removed and I just press the button and move the left stick towards the side I want to hit, then we have a winner

Yep winner indeed. I take off all visuals and it just looks amazing. No K zone, PCI, hot zones, etc...I like seeing a borderline K get called on the black when there's no K zone to refer to. Just makes it so much more realistic.Glad am not the only one who feels that way. I think the other game has the darn circle over the plate. Looks like a damm video game

Yeah, I'm having this issue. Maybe I missed an option in the menus, but it seems like the pci has a mind of its own regardless of where I move the left stick.Comment

Well, don't get too exited, you still need to move the PCI which is behind the scenes to where the ball is. If you do not you will not make contact. Especially on the higher levels.Glad am not the only one who feels that way. I think the other game has the darn circle over the plate. Looks like a damm video game

Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
That is fine, I have good eyes and good reflexes. If I see the curve on the ball hitting the outer part of the zone then I can pust the stick to that spot and swing with the button.
I just cannot deal with a box graphic showing where to aim for a hit. If that is the case I would go with just timingComment

Yeah I'm not a real big fan of that. I guess you can say I have unpredictable PCI phobia. Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
The L-stick has NO function in analog swing. You push up on your swing left or right to hit inside or outside, the game picks up or down.
The being said, I've swung to the left and seen the pci right, so who knows.Comment

I just love getting ahead in a count and just sitting on zone. Going to feel a lot more gratifying when my load is perfect(ok moving on)Comment

Re: MLB 11 The Show Demo Q&A, discussion thread
I don't know that it does...how well have you been hitting? I wish they'd incorporate the contact swing into the mechanic, so if it's a pitch you can do something with you can adjust.
Although having the bunt there is pretty intuitive tooComment

Perhaps challenge was the wrong word. Something feels wrong (oxymoronic, maybe)about a system that tries to emulate reality in swinging the bat, yet removes reality when it comes to placing your swing.Comment
