Alright, I'm using analog hitting but I still think it works the same.

That's going to be difficult pitching lol.

Does anyone know if the straightness of the analog pitching motion affects the success of the pitch?

In other words, would a 4-10(o'clock) motion be any worse than a 6-10 for the exact same pitch?

It might cause you to overcompensate if you are coming up from the bottom in an arc fashion. If I am understanding you correctly?

Analog is more of a timing based system so you are not moving the PCI around like you do in the other modes.

Yep, I just turned on the PCI and noticed that. It does increase/decrease in size depending on your step timing though, so it's still helpful.

Oh really? What is the PCI's use in analog hitting then?

Oh most definitely and it does move based on your input when pushing up to swing as you try to meet the ball in the inner, middle or outer third of the zone.

For those of you experiencing long download times, I'd suggest if you are not to 50% yet, to cancel and start over. Another option would be to wait until tomorrow (I know, that's hard ).

It was the same last year, the servers can only handle so many requests at one time.

Does anyone know if the retail copy is going to have the option to manually control your fielders like last year? I noticed the demo only had options for auto and assist(fielding).

One more question while I'm at it. Is there anyway to see swing feedback that will show what direction I moved the right stick in? It would really help with the learning curve if I could somehow know for sure if I'm pressing straight up, up/left, or up/right. Even if you could only do it in practice, I think it would still be helpful.

Here is my write-up on hitting. It goes over everything in detail:

Not concrete but in the swing analysis screen you can look at the location of the PCI in the strike zone. It will give you the general direction you headed on the push up.

Assist is manual, the assist is the initial jump fielders take towards the ball.

A few question for those that have played a few games now. Hoping most of these issues were rectified in 11.

Are you still seeing alot of the wall suction from last year?

Are there still too many balls down the 3rd base line getting through?

Have you noticed any of the outfielders going into slomotion when fielding a ball?

Are the pitcher still made of steel when getting hit by a ball? Do they have natural reactions when getting hit now?

How well does the new throw cancelling feature work? Does it look realistic, like a pump fake or something? Is it easy to cancel throws once you know they are going to be bad (red)?
