Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread
I have a question about the "Auto Save" feature.
I always turned it off in the past because it seemed buggy. I'm trying it again this year in hopes that it's been fixed.
My question is that when you go to the save screen it nearly always shows your sliders and franchise as "need to save".
Today I loaded up the game and went to the schedule, then something came up and I had to turn off the game. I went to the save screen and it showed both my sliders and franchise "need to save"...I hadn't done anything with either.
Just wondering if it's buggy again this year and I should turn it off, or am I missing something?Comment

I just loaded up my rosters and i go and look in the Save option and there is a tick against it saying that they need to be saved.....Comment

Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread
I'm still waiting for my game to be delivered (not popular enough to sell in stores here in Australia!)
I'm wondering how long do you think it will be before rosters are 100% ready to go? Presuming I receive the game in the next couple of days, I just want to see how long I'll need to wait before getting the best rosters and starting a franchise.
NB: I know the are working really hard on them and I don't mind how long it takes - I'm just curious to find out. Cheers!Comment

Thanks for understanding....and your patience.
Just a note....I don't think I've ever had a complete set done any earlier than two or three weeks after actual OPENING DAY(I know some guys have said two weeks from release....that's not correct)...so the progress right now is AMAZING.

Last year's game was released March 3 and roster's were released April 7. This year's game was released March 8 so that puts us at an approximate release date of April 12. Patience guys.Comment

This was posted today by one of the many guys working on the OS Minor Rosters which is the one everyone is waiting on.

I'm actually aiming for right before Opening Day this year with at least a prelim set!
There will be one a little after Opening Day...to adjust for roster changes and setting the MLB rosters/lineups and pitching staffs.
It's looking promising right now!

Re: Official MLB 11 The Show - Q&A Thread
Are umpires supposed to occasionally blow calls on the basepaths?
I had one the other day in Tampa. I was the White Sox, and I want to say BJ Upton or Sean Rodriguez stole second, but on the replay it showed Beckham clearly getting the tag on him, as noted by the glove passing through the forearm of the baserunner before he touched second. I know the homeplate umpire will blow balls and strikes, but this is the first time that I can recall seeing an umpire blow a play on the basepaths which was cool in a way.
Hopefully this is meant to mimic the human error in baseball and isn't a glitch.Comment
