I would absolutely sign with them. I'm not bias at all!

Re: RTTS: Would you sign with the Yankees?

I can't say that I would stick with one team since the White Sox already traded me to the Orioles (Already traded twice, once from the Red Sox to the White Sox as a minor leaguer, then again at the MLB level.) I'm already the Orioles star player since they allowed Josh Hamilton to go. I might just stick with the Orioles until they no longer want me, then probably go with preference. San Diego is obviously my number 1 team, then maybe an AL West ballclub. If not, then it's Houston or Washington. However if the Yankees were the only team to offer me a contract, I'd sign with them.

I do hope I can stay with the Orioles, automatic gold gloves.

I will never understand the Yankees hate. I mean I am biased because I am a fan, but like, why the hate, damn those Yankees for having money and winning championships!

Haters going to hate. I can go down the list of why people hate the Yankees:

          1- Most money
          2- "Overspend"
          3- "Buy" Championships

People are going to hate teams that have the most of something, especially when they are competing for the same players. Little do people know, Boston is trying to "buy" a championship this year. I rest my case. :-P

It also has to do with their fans. There are quite a many people that are bandwagon fans. they only wanna root for a winner. people that arent from NY or have ever been to a yankee game. not quite as bad as a phillies fan who wanna talk trash about one world series and a handful of winning seasons, but its a close second.

Re: RTTS: Would you sign with the Yankees?

I wouldn't, but not for any of the "*****" reasons others listed. I just don't think it would be as fun to be on a team like the Yankees in this game, where you'd have to compete against unreal numbers (because other player's at-bats would be simmed) just to maintain playing time.

In real life I would certainly sign with them, but in the game, I'm all for some Royals RTTS or something.

But, the same can be said about teams that just won the WS. Think of when Boston won the WS in 2004...Red Sox fans started coming out of the woodwork. Bandwagon fans are all over...

I live in Boston...they are just as arrogant haha. But, I will say this...they are VERY passionate about their team and I respect that.

I'm in year 7 and still have yet to get a contract offer in the offseason as a maxed out CF.

Just played in my first Home Run Derby and All-Star Game (2015). The Home Run Derby was fun (and I wasn't expecting to win even though I'm currently leading the AL with 29 home runs). The field consisted of:

                          AL
                          Ryan Zimmerman (TOR) 4
                          James Loney (LAA) 5
                          Joey Votto (TB) 8, 7
                          My Player (BAL) 9, 18, 3

                          NL
                          Matt Kemp (LAD) 3
                          Evan Longoria (CHC) 14, 9, 2
                          Jesus Montero (SD) 6
                          Prince Fielder (MIL) 12, 9

                          PNC Park

Loney had the worst power rating while Fielder had the best one. My player had the best HR/AB rate at 10.8, but I like I said I didn't expect to win. It was nice though and I think SCEA really hit the nail with this mode (although my brother wanted to see the kids running after flyouts).

Most of the loud mouth Yankee haters weren't even Red Sox fans until they won their first WS in '04. Before that, the in your face Yankee hate didn't exist. Why? Because true Sox fans were here through the ugly years, when you could walk to Fenway and get a ticket for $8 the day of a game, and a Yankee game to boot.

It is trendy to be a Sox fan now and hate the Yankees. It is the new craze for frat boys to ruin the Sox experience.

BUT, I would never trade Pedroia, Youk, Ellsbury, Beckett, Pap, Ortiz or any of them for a Yankee lineup.

Why? Because deep down, I do look at the Yankees and see a team without heart. Raw talent? Yes. Can they win? Obviously, but does anyone get any sense of team from them? They seem cold, like a bunch of robots that were built to win championships. The Sox are rugged, dirty, they manufacture wins, it doesn't come naturally. They play baseball hard.

The Yankee image I think, is what causes other fans to despise and hate them. Can anyone honestly sit here and tell me that they like the Yankees as a team or is it because they win? Be honest now. Do you feel involved with the team? I don't live in New York, never have so maybe I just see things as they aren't. But that is the impression I get when they come to town. The Red Sox and the fans at Fenway come alive. The Yankees and their fans seem like drones.

I am sorry if that is offensive, it is just how I see it.

I'm not offended, you are entitled to your opinion, but I think you're wrong. The misconception most people have is that they only see the leader, Derek Jeter. He's cold, stoic and determined, but isn't fluffy lighthearted and funny like Ortiz.

I see many similarities between the late 70's Yankees (The Bronx Zoo) and the 00's Red Sox (The Idiots) without all the in-fighting.

The Yanks have infused their team with youth (Cano, Gardner, Joba) and guys who lighten things up (Swisher, Granderson, Burnett)

When your leader is not a headline-grabbing guy who gives you cold and cliche quotes, people tend to think the rest of the team is exactly like him, which couldn't be farther from the truth.

It's not as bad as you would think. I've gotten a few drive-by tough guys who yell something out the window. The first week I moved here I was walking to the store and I had full Yankees regalia on and a guy yells out the car window. "HEY!!!...........RED SOX!!!" I couldn't help but laugh at the pure stupidity. My girlfriend turned to me and ask, "Do sports really matter that much?" I replied, "It's not sports per se, it's gang mentality and I'm wearing the wrong colors."

But, I will say this, I have more respect for the Red Sox and their fans after living here. They are a very passionate fanbase, even though they've gained many bandwagon fans in the past decade. The diehard fans are fun to talk to, know their stuff and, above all else, love the game of baseball and you have to like that no matter which team you root for.
