Ok, I started my Yankees franchise now that the rosters have dropped, and have made two trades that I think help, but others might think otherwise. The first trade I made was a "c" potential catcher, and a "c" potential first baseman to the Angels for Vernon Wells. At first glance this is a bad trade for me, but look at it this way Swisher is a horrid fielder, but has great power which screams DH in my book. We also all know that Wells is a great fielder with decent pop, so an all around upgrade for me. Now you might be thinking that I already have a DH with Posada, well there in lies that second trade, I traded Posada to the Nationals for John Lannan. That Yankees need help pitching which Lannan provides, and that Nats could use a good bat in their lineup that can still play decent defense. This trade I think is more realistic because I do think the Nationals are looking to part with Lannan if he doesn't produce like they want him to. So guys tell me what you think of these trades, overall I think they help me, not just now, but in the long run. Ok, thanks in advance guys.

Also Nats have Pudge. I doubt they trade a pitcher for an old catcher in the NL with no DH. So Posada gets what 4/5 Abs every 10 days?
That said, its your franchise.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
That is what I was thinking when I was making the trade, but if you look at their outfield they have far too many outfielders than they need. They have Hunter, Trout, Abreu, and Borjeus(sp?), so really getting rid of one doesn't really matter. Also you can say they same thing about the Jays in the off-season, when they got Rivera, and Napoli, if I am not mistaken they traded away Napoli the very next day, so is it uncommon, yes, unheard of, no. On the Nationals side, Pudge is injured in the game for the year, and so is Flores, so they needed a catcher badly, and that is one of the reasons I made the trade. Also in real life the Nationals are looking to trade away Pudge, so overall I do not think the trades are overly unrealistic, but they aren't realistic either.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
In my Nats franchise, I'm thinking about unloading Jesus Flores for Phil Coke (Det). I decided I want to keep Pudge to platoon with Wilson Ramos behind the plate. Coke gives me some depth at the back of the rotation or as a long reliever / spot starter. I feel the trade is fair for the Tigers since Flores is a young catcher with potential.
Any thoughts?Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
So in my season mode Pujols has been on the block for over a month. I thought i'd try to conjure up a package in which STL would be interested. I found one that peaked their interest to 75%. It was Jason Bay, Jon Niese and Ike Davis for Pujols.
Although I think Pujols is the best in the game, i wasn't gonna pull the trigger.#1 That trade isn't even close to being fair and #2 David Wright deserves to be the best player on the Mets.
Anyone see Pujols on the trading block and was he actually traded?Lakers | Michigan | DodgersComment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
ok i went back and read through 25% of all the posts here, so if this has been discussed please forgive me...
Whats the deal with the Nats giving away Bryce Harper??? Using the OSFM rosters, and in my Mariners franchise, they are accepting a garbage C Pot RF in a straight up trade for Harper.
There's also another crappy deal (for them) that i can get with the Mariners. and then when i try to trade him back for even a terrible player on the Nats, they have zero interest.
i guess it's kind of funky with edited/created players.Comment

Still playing 10, I got an offer in June of 2013 of some A potential CF 28 year old prospect with great power for Kouzmanoff, Devine, and Church. It looks like a pretty decent deal for me except that I have a CF 2nd year player who is only 22, has decent speed, fielding, contact and power. So do I pick up this prospect who will either supplant my current CF, or else be a backup outfielder for perhaps one more year until I can't afford him? I will probably pass on the deal, but I like getting offers that make me take some time to contemplate, as opposed to the usual ones that I turn down immediately.Comment

I have a deal on the table:
Mets send:
Jason Bay
Ruben Tejada
Cardinals send:
Matt Holliday
