I have never written down who goes on the trading block, but I write down every single trade to keep track of. Partly because there is no player tracker in the game, but mostly because I am a nerd like that. There are a few players that have been traded a lot in my franchise. Matt Dominguez has been traded half a dozen times so far, but I think he finally found a home with the Angels after they let Wood go. In 4 years of franchise so far, there have been 576 players traded. This counts all players traded multiple times, so I don't know off hand exactly how many individual players were traded. Keep me posted on what you come up with. I love this kind of stuff.

Had a cool little "Trade News" thing pop up during one of my Franchise games....the Nationals had traded Bryce Harper and Livan Hernandez to the Padres for some catcher (Kyle something). Yep...improved trade logic!Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
My recomendation for a trade to improve seatles batting and fielding is Scott podsednik (on the jays) he can be your number 2 guy he has good contact and speed. And his overall is not to high so he shouldn't be hard to get. Plus hes not even on the 40 man roster (well some times he is in the game)Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Okay so I have a problem in my Braves Chise...
Jonny Venters
Jason Heyward
Freddi Freeman
Craig Kimbrel
Brandon Beachy
Mike Minor
and numerous others are 1 year contracts.... cheap now but won't be at the offseason.
Quite frankly I want to offload a pitcher....
My Five Guy Rotation at the Moment:
Tim Hudson
Derek Lowe
Tommy Hanson
Brandon Beachy
Mike Minor
Note: I'm only in the first month, Jair Jurrjens is hurt, as well is Kris Medlen.
Frankly I'd like to keep Hudson, Hanson, and Beachy.
Medlen and Jurrjens I'd like to keep. Thats five guys that I know I can make a post season run with.
So I'd like to get rid of Derek Lowe, and maybe MAYBE Mike Minor (he's a young lefty and I think it'd take something good for me to let him go.)
I'm looking for a 3B, as Chipper won't last too much longer, turning 39 a few days ago.... also maybe a nice CF prospect.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I really wish people would strike "chise" from their OS lexicon. As for your braves franchise, Venters, Heyward, Freemen, et al shouldn't cost you any more than they are already making. I imagine they are still "contract renewable" players.
As for a CF prospect, Donovan Tate seems to do pretty well in my 10 franchise.Comment

Beachy and Minor could get expensive quick, with the numbers i'm putting up with Beachy...
I just need Lowe gone, to open up the Budget and make room for the young arms I have coming in.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I know, asked a million times before, but since Bryce Harper is traded in every franchise it seems so what would it take for the Royals to get him? About the only guys I wouldn't want give up is Moustakas, Soria, Cain or Escobar, but I would probably have to give up at least 2 of those guys eh? Or maybe my farm of A potential SPer's plus!? Myers in return would defeat the purpose of them getting rid of a RFer because Werth is locked up.
Not realistic for the Royals, but it would sure be nice for me to get him instead of another team because it sure seems likely he would be dealt.
Just messing around they would take a 1 on 1 trade easy. I offered them
SP - Danny Duffy - B Potential - 22 yo
SP - John Lamb - A Potential - 20 yo
RP - Tim Collins - B Potential - 21 yo
They took it. They are looking for a C, RP & LF.
I could do this.
LF - Alex Gordon - B potential - 27 yo
RP - Tim Collins - B Potential - 21 yo (or RP - Jeremy Jeffress - A Potential - 23 yo)
C - Salvador Perez - B Potential - 20 yo
Was also thinking of just minor league offers
SP - John Lamb - A Potential - 20 yo
RP - Tim Collins - B Potential - 21 yo
C - Salvador Perez - B Potential - 20 yo
or
RP - Jeremy Jeffress - A Potential - 23 yo
SP - Danny Duffy - B Potential - 22 yo
C - Salvador Perez - B Potential - 20 yo
Does any of this look remotely close to what could be offered? I know I am giving too much as Harper is going to be a stud point blank and will probably be the best player in the "game" in just a few years which is why I want him. He would fit well into my plans on how I want to build the team and I could use him this season if I wanted. I have him on a fantasy drafted team and he is smoking for me batting clean up. I would bat him 5th or 6th if I did call him up. I really don't want to get rid of Jeffress though.
To make it believable for me I would be the only one giving them anything worth while as the CPU will give them crap because they will take crap. At least here they are getting something and if went through with the 1st one they would be getting 2 ready now guys and a 3rd for after Pudge is gone.
I could also throw in a 4th or 5th guy for their worst player as an option. Anyone have any constructive opinions?Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Okay...
Mariners Get:
RF Juan Rivera (.240 AVG 5 HR 13 RBI)
LF Scott Podsednik (Has not played MLB Game this season)
Blue Jays Get:
SS Brendan Ryan (.187 AVG 0 HR 7 RBI)
RP Josh Lueke (0-2 9.64 ERA 10 K's)
LF Milton Bradley (.220 AVG 2 HR 8 RBI)
I offered this to the Blue Jays, seems they want to accept. Should I continue with this deal?
I have a 2:3 ratio of people to clear a roster spot in Triple A without releasing anyone.Kemp for NL MVP
Montero for AL ROY

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
THe thing is the jays have a good SS in Escobar and good fielders. What they need is a 3rd baseman maybe a pitcher and some releavers. Now if you were the jays would you take that deal looking at your roster? If you can honestly say yes you would take that deal then you are clean and clear to take it I would say. But based on what your getting to what the Jays are getting you are losing your DH for worse DH. I would do one of your tripple A B releavers for just Scott thoComment

Looking for some ideas guys....1st year of my franchise with the indians. Simmed about halfway through the year and looking to make some deals since im bout 18 games behind in the division. Willing to part with sizemore, hafner, orlando cabrera, brantley, and possibly a few pitching prospects (except white and pomeranz). Looking to trade for a speedy leadoff centerfielder, another corner outfielder with some power that could DH primarily, and a 3-4 spot starter. Gonna bring up chisenhall and kipnis later in the year to get them some experience and get prepped for playing my 2012 season. Got some ideas on some deals but just curious as to some other input.Comment
