hey guys, I am using the Rockies and i was wondering if anyone had an ideas for cheap, yet effective veteran bullpen help?

I also have Felipe Paulino as my 5th starter and hes at a miserable 1-5, 4.31 era, so maybe a young up and coming starter that isnt a headliner?

Just started a new franchise with the full Cleveland minors.

I seriously needed to improve my starters and willing to part with my best player in Sizemore and possibly an A prospect if it would sway a deal.

I started shopping around Sizemore on his own but no one was really biting si I decided to add chisenhall to the deal. Now I had a few more offers including a few ace starters. One of them was lincecum although only half the bar was up. At this point I got interested so looked at my roster to see some older guys who I could get rid of and decided on 1st baseman nick Johnson.

The giants were now fully interested so I decided to see what else I could get. I tried Torres to het a replacement for cf which they were happy with. I then thought to look at 3B as the tribe are seriously lacking there especially now chisenhall has gone.

I tried a cheeky bid for sandoval and they accepted so I got the deal done.

In: lincecum
Torres
Sandoval

Out: Sizemore
Johnson
Chisenhall

What do you think?

The CPU appears willing to take Braun for Cano. This affects my depth and DH situation (I'm doing a fantasy draft 'chise). Which 'pair' would you rather:

Braun/Chris Getz *or* Cano/Dominic Brown.

Cano/Brown are no brainers, right? Significant upgrade at 2B, slight at DH position (Brown would replace Braun, and Felix Pie would probably get called up as a bench outfielder).

here is a trade that i made at the deadline:

Braves acquire:
CP Jonathon Papelbon

Red Sox(me) acquire:
SP Mike Minor(A potential)
CP Jonny Ventors(if he doesnt do well Bard will take the job)
3B A potential prospect(will eventually replace Youk')

i robbed them blind, and they made the offer not me

question: I put Lester on trade waivers, he was claimed by the Twins, what would have happened if i didnt withdraw him from waivers?

It could just be me but Mark Rzepczynski is a great #4-5 pitcher,good control he's not young but when you get his motion down he's as good as any lefty starter out there. As for bp help I always liked Scott downs.. lefty, can close and his stuff is good prob not cheap though.

After getting lincecum in the previous deal, just for fun I wanted to see what I could get for him and the bosox are offering their first 3 in their rotation. This would improve my whole Indians rotation rather than just having one stud.

Worth it?

I was playing as the pirates and roughly 40 games in the mets offered me Jon Niese and Jose Reyes for Jameson Taillon straight up. I didnt do it cause I can't see that happening in real life.

Lol at you guys robbing the CPU. Seriously...at least try to keep the trades realistic. Both those Lincecum deals are/would be highway robbery. How is the game even fun when you pull stuff like that?

why would you put Lester on waivers? he's the best lefty in the AL!

At some point in the future (late this year or next year), I would like to put Mauer in LF and play Butera behind the dish, and possibly make Morneau my Primary DH. This would move Delmon Young to RF, and if I keep Cuddyer, he could go to 1B as he did pretty well last year filling in. I do not think Kubel will stay on my team, and could see the same for Cuddyer.

Doing this creates a problem as I also really like Ben Revere and Aaron Hicks (both OF) I could keep Mauer behind the plate, keep Young in the OF, put <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comRevere </ST1</st1:City>or Hicks in the OF, and Morneau as the primary DH.

I would like to get a Right Handed young player that can play OF and 1B. Any suggestions on how to proceed? <O

is mauer a possibility at 3b? I know its a tough position to learn but the kid is athletic and has a pretty good arm. just a thought.

he was having a bad year, I, myself was not having success with him, and i was planning on just swapping him with another good lefty

From my understanding, getting guys like Lincecum was supposed to be almost impossible. I guess some of the players slipped through the cracks.
