Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I'm in the 2012 offseason, and I'm in desperate need to upgrade my rotation.
I wanted to know of a couple of A-B lefties with a plus fastball, at least. Any ideas on who I can pick up. I've tried trading for Kershaw, but the dodgers wouldn't budge at all.
By the Way I play with the Yankees and my projected rotation is:
Sabathia(L)
Burnett(R)
Kintaudi(R)
Hughes(R)
As you can see I only have 4 pitchers, 3 of which are right handed. I really could use another lefty because lefties were able to handle the Sox well in the 2011 season for me. Any ideas would be great.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
What do you guys think of this trade?
Yankees get:
Jorge De La Rosa(LHP)
Rockies get:
Manny Banuelos
DJ Mitchell
I'm looking to add another lefty to the rotation without completely mortgaging the farm, and I opposed De La Rosa in the World Series and he has some pretty electric stuff as mentioned earlier. As far as Banuelos, I feel as if I can't work with his 3-pitch repertoire and his fastball may be a bit too low and I need a lefty who's big league ready.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I am in the second year of my Yankees franchise and need pitching help desperately, and one person I am looking at is Strasburg, I know unrealistic, but still it is the Yankees we are talking about. So I am thinking about offering Banuelos, Montero, and either Hughes, or Rafa Soriano, or maybe another top prospect. All before you say the Nats have Ramos and Flores in waiting they traded both of them away for second base prospect. They also traded Harper, and Storen away for Heath Bell. So there team is already gone, and they are 30 games under 500 at the trade deadline, and I am barely ahead of Boston for the lead. So tell me is this a good trade for me, and is it fair enough for the Nationals.Comment

Any suggestions on what to trade Matzuzaka for? I can't stand his slow delivery, I'd even rather start Wakefield or sign a free agent than continue pitching with him. Any teams that particularly need pitching and might have a realistic interest in acquiring him (first season franchise)?Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I don't usually ask questions like this, because for Madden and NBA 2K I follow the sports and know pretty much all of the players on every team. Baseball I follow much more casually, so I have less of an idea of what is and isn't realistic for each team.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Well I meant more in real life. I'm not too far into the season, so the rosters are nearly identical to how they were at the start. Anyway, whatever, I'll just try to find something logical to get for him.

Is morneau for montero realistic? I want to move mauer to 1b... Morneau has got good attributes and is young... Should I throw in a prospect too? If so a b or a.Comment
