In my Yankees franchise in my second year I am looking for pitching help because my rotation is struggling. I know this is going to sound unrealistic, but I was looking at Linceum. I signed Garza in the off season, but with Hughes and Burnett getting hurt, I was forced to put Joba back into the rotation, and call up Brackman to help. Also the Giants are 13 games out of the wild card at the deadline, and will not be able to bring back Linceum because they spent a lot of money on Prince in the off season last year, so they could retool their farm system, and get ready for the future with this trade. I would give up Banuelos, Betances and Nunez. This gives them a potential number 1 and a solid 2, along with a so-so shortstop. I think this is fair for both teams, and lets faces it the Yankees can pull anything off if they try hard enough.

For any1 who has read my previous posts in this thread or the franchise thread, I've stated numerous times that i'm looking for a bonafide ace to anchor my Pirates rotation in hopes of winning my division and advancing deep into the postseason...i've sucked up my *im hesitant to trade prospects* pride and decided to go after an ace whose on non-contending teams and i came up with king felix and john johnson...i don't prescribe to ripping off teams so i have a good clue of what it would take to entice the M's and Marlins...So with all that being said, i put a package together that included my top 3 organizational prospects in Jameson Taillon,a 19-yr old RHP whose #11 in baseball america's top 100, Tony Sanchez, the 4th ranked catcher in baseball america, and Stetson Allie whose the organization's 2nd ranked overall prospect after taillon...Mind u, taillon and allie both have A potentials while Sanchez is a B...i offered that package to both the Mariners and Marlins and watcha know, they both rejected...I understand that both hernandez and johnson are locked up long-term with their respectable clubs for reasonable contracts so I can see where the CPU is comin from....it's just insanely frustrating tryin to propose VERY FAIR trades only to get shot down....guess i'm back at square 1 in riding it out with my current rotation...what a bummer

JJ Hardy?- Orioles
Ruben Tejada/Daniel Murphy?- Mets
Scott Seizmore?- Tigers

Maybe even 3b prospect Zach Lutz (Mets). He competed for a ML spot this year, and i believe he is 24 or 25. He can also play second base. Likely the Mets wouldnt be too excited, but it's worth a try

Right now, I'm the Chicago Cubs in 2012 at the all-star break and I'm looking for a power bat at third base or the outfield

The two "biggest" bats on the trade market is David Wright and Ian Kinsler. I don't see too much power bats that I could try to pick up.

I'm just looking for a rental to help me finish the season. I'm 2nd in the division and hoping to secure the playoffs.

If you have any ideas, let me know.

I'm willing to trade Marlon Byrd, Blake DeWitt.

Milton Bradley

You're right about context but it's not in Sox history to have rookie SS; Lugo, Cabrera, Scutaro, Alex Gonzalez.

Pedroia was in 2nd year (although still classified as a rookie.) Iglesias has close to zero MLB experience. CF had Coco Crisp until he got injured in ALCS...so I don't know what you're talking about. I guess you forgot about the amazing catch he made to save the Sox in the playoffs against the Indians.

I was able to make the trade with the Sox for Lowrie had to give away a couple of minor leaguers as well. And Lowrie and Wilson had almost identical stats. Plus I was playing Brendan Ryan at SS more since Wilson was struggling most of the time. So now Lowrie will be my permanent starter at SS and won't have to switch between Ryan and Wilson anymore.

I seem to recall this young kid named Nomar Garciaparra or something playing SS for them and doing pretty well and winning ROY. LOL at it not being in "Red Sox history" to have a rookie SS when one of their best players of the last 15 years came up as a rookie SS.

What franchises have a history of rookie SS's?

Crisp was benched because he was playing badly. Ellsbury started the rest of the way and hit near .360ish. Hence the Red Sox won a WS with a rookie playing CF and eventually batting leadoff. Because when the Sox won the WS Crisp wasn't doing those things and Ellsbury was.

No. I didn't forget. I also remember him not being able to hit the entire postseason and despite that catch still getting benched. Hint: He was benched before he was injured. He was in the game late in the ALCS for defensive reasons when he got hurt.

you can make the playoffs with an mvp 1st baseman, former mvp second basebman, allstar third baseman, a proven, well above average outfield, great starting pitching, and a very good bullpen

Only one guy has an average above .250 and it’s, guess who, Milton Bradley. I scored five runs, once, and got shut out three times, while scoring one runs the other game. I understand that I am terrible at lying off bad pitches, but even when I do make good contact…nothing.

So, I have a few players that I would be willing to move. - Chone Figgans – massive contract and just an average hitter
- Erik Bedard – injury prone
- Jack Wilson – older and not that good anymore
- Milton Bradley – good hitter but I just don’t like him much
- Prospects, except for Ackley, Pineda and Smoak.

Any ideas on who might be a good pickup for a team that needs run scoring?

I think I would much rather have Beltran. Just a better fit, but that contract is ****. One of the main reasons why I want to get rid of Figgans is contract related.

Beltran's contract in the game may not be that bad since all the contracts are screwy. Depending on how far you are into your chise I'd let it ride out a bit. See how the season progresses more.

Smoak has some real potential and wait to see who the CPU puts on the block or what teams with the good sluggers start to tank and might be looking to trade. Honestly, with the guys you are willing to give up realitistically you shouldn't expect much in return.
