That'd seriously be an embarassment of riches if the Yanks do end up gettin Prince but i wouldn't be one bit surprised...If anything, I would make pitching my priority thoSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I'm the Cubs. Way out of the race (20 GB) at the trade deadline in 2011.
The White Sox offered me a trade as they are 1.5 Games up in the division on Minnesota and I would imagine trying to pull away.
The Twins, in what I assume was a move to try and catch the Whote Sox, offered me Miguel Sano, an 18yo A 3B prospect, for Aramis. Then the very next day, almost as if the Sox were trying to block or counter the move, offered me Viciedo, Morel, and Jhonny Nunez for Aramis. I debated on what trade I wanted to pull off and settled on this:
White Sox get:
3B Aramis Ramirez
Cubs get:
3B/OF/1B Dayan Viciedo
RP Jhonny Nunez
I felt adding in Morel was an overpay by the CPU.
Viciedo steps in and immediately becomes my 3B.
Nunez goes to the bullpen in AAA.
Ramirez becomes the White Sox starting 3B, Morel to the bench, and the White Sox get a lot stronger.
Viciedo is a nice piece for me for a few reasons. He can play 3B now. And coming into offseason he gives me flexibility at 1B if I don't want to shell out a ton of money for a big name FA. He can keep 3B warm for Vitters or possibly move to a corner OF spot depending on what happens with Fukudome in my offseason.
I also pulled off another trade as well.
Seattle Gets:
SP Andrew Cashner
SP Robert Coello
RP Kyle Smit
Chicago Cubs Get:
SP James Paxton
Pulled this deal off because I like Paxton's power left arm and his upside.
Paxton goes to AA Tennessee and could be on the fast track to the Bigs depending on how he pitches.
Coello and Smit went to the Mariners AA squad. The 24 year old Cashner steps into the Mariners starting rotation for a really ineffective Erik Bedard(something like 3-11 with an ERA over 5.). Cashner was horrible for me(1-8 ERA over 8 before he was sent down to AAA) where he bounced back and was 3-3 with an ERA in the low 3's in 8 starts. I think he will fair better in spaceous Safeco as well.
I may have overpayed a bit for Paxton but I really like his power left arm and I'd rather overpay the CPU then have any doubt on whether I took advantage of them. They got back a 24yo B pitcher in Cashner, a C potential arm in Coello who was pitching well at AAA for me and Smit who is a B potential 25yo relief pitcher with some upside.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
Good deals ^ Dodgers offerered me a trade..
Dodgers give
Dee Gordon SS, A potential 23 Yo
Rubby De La Rosa SP, A potential 22 YO
Kanley Jansen RP, A potential, 23 YO
Twins give
Delmon Young LF, A potential 25 YO ( Way better overall on pace for 35 homers, 105 rbis, 310 Batting Average... Scouting report says hes a 30 home run guy with a .300 average )
Delmon Young will fit in for the future and right away to help them compete for a Title ( Awesome outfield for the Dodgers if the trade goes through. ) Kanely is the only guy who will play in the majors for me this season, hes having a very good season in the majors while Dee Gordon is hitting well in AAA and Rubby is doing pretty awful in AAA with a 5.00 ERA and more walks than IP. Dee and Rubby would get the call up probably sometime 2012-2013ish, If it wasn't for control problems I'd take Rubby right now. I Want Dee to develop a little more power ( Not over the fence but gap to gap ) and improve his defense a little bit.
Would it be okay to accept this or are the dodgers giving up too much? If its too much for the Dodgers I can throw in the following, Carlos Gutierrez hard throwing 22 YO future closer doing well with my twins right now B potential, Aaron Hicks 21 YO with a bright future 5 tool player A potential, Migual Sano 18 YO A potential, or Max Kapler B potential 18 YOLast edited by chuckles012; 07-12-2011, 11:02 AM.Comment

If Young is performing like that he's worth a lot.
Tough to disconnect from what Young is doing in real life and it's not anywhere near what you says he's doing in the game...... but in your MLB the Show universe if the Dodgers have a hole in their OF for Young to step in to and he's performing like that, and you could use Dee Gordon at SS I think the move seems pretty good. Especially if the Dodgers are making a post season push.
Giving up those prospects seems like a lot but for a 25 year old A potential proven MLB outfielder on pace for 35HR's.....I think that trade works especially with DeLaRosa struggling in AAA.Comment

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition
I like De La Rosa a lot and figure him and Gibson can be in the rotation for a lot of years, The Dodgers are currently leading the division by 1 game over the Rockies and this isn't just a rental Young is only 25. I Wish Young was performing like this in real life.. but at least he is on my game. Should I throw in a prospect because I feel like maybe i'm ripping them off a little bit? I hate getting the better end of a deal for example my only other trade all season was Kevin Slowey ( pretty high overall ) 27 YO B potential, Jim Hoey 28 YO A potential, Liam Hnedircks 21 YO B potential for Mike Foltynewicz ( My cousin ) B potential 19 YO.
I Currently have a 2.5 Game lead on the White Sox, I'm hovering around the .500 mark and if I make the playoffs I really stand no chance against anyone in the East the Rays, Yankees, and Red Sox have dominated me all year... I'm thinking the Royals will win the division their on a 7 game win streak and are 4 GB, their young prospects are really killing it for them and are a scary team to play right now..Last edited by chuckles012; 07-12-2011, 11:35 AM.Comment

I'm the Red Sox, and I offered the following trade to the Rockies and they accepted, to my astonishment. Just wondered what you guys think I could maybe add because I think I'm ripping them off...
Rockies receive:
Dice-K Matsuzaka P
Josh Reddick (B pot RF)
Michael Bowden (A pot P)
Red Sox receive:
Carlos Gonzalez LF
Some C pot P
PS: The rosters are almost identical to when I started but the Rockies have made a trade to get a new young outfielder (BJ Upton for Jorge de la Rosa with prospects)

I would consider it if I was the Rockies I mean an A potential SP, with a nice B potential prospect who can become an everday players. Plus you can get a middle to back of the rotation starter to fill for Jorge De La Rosa.. But then again Cargo is a big stick, it depends really if the Rockies are going for the divison or not.Comment
