Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

Has anyone been successful in trading for Beltran in your franchise.... It feels like no matter who you offer the mets won't budge. Which as we all know is what the mets are going to do in real life....

    Any suggestions will be appreciated....

    Thanks

In my franchise the cpu traded Beltran for Ichiro straight up I think.

If your looking for offense I would recommend Adam Lind. He provides great power, but he won't be easy to get. Funny, I traded for Jason Kubel in my franchise and he's doing great too.

There are plenty of people out there, or you can wait it out and hope it turns around. Good luck

Adam Dunn was fairly easy to get in my franchise. He's a bit pricey, but if you can accept that you're basically getting great power and RBI's but not a great average I think he's worth it in the game.

                  What's Upton's contract like though? If he's a rental....that's a little steep for him.
                  Not bad though.

Making $6 million in 2011. I think he has one more year of arbitration so he'll be under team control through 2012. If he performs well, Washington would look to lock him up long-term.

In general what do you need to give up for really good pitching prospects? Or any good 1st base, SS, or 2nd prospects and what should I give up?

If it helps I'm playing with the Rays.

If you are looking for a couple of easy trades to make in the game you can pick up Mitch Moreland from the Rangers for a back up catcher. They accepted Chris Snyder for Moreland strait up. Moreland is decent, young, and an A prospect. He plays corner outfield and 1B.

I also found for a B and C level prospect you can get Jordan Zimmerman from the Nats.

wow that is a steal. Zimmerman is very solid in the game, his simmed stats are something like 11-5 with a 2.93 ERA. Moreland is a beast IMO.

Surprisingly CIN was 100% interested in Freddie Freeman and Derek Lowe for Joey Votto. I didn't pull the trigger but i was trying scenarios for a bunch of players.

Also, Daniel Murphy is rather easy to get from NYM.

I know. Both trades were a no brainer for me.
