Can anyone recommend me some 1st year realistic/fair trades for the cubs?

Depends. In real life. Give away soriano. Trade zambrano and dempster for decent prospects and get a somewhat good return for aramis.

If you want to win well.. Itll take a lot of probably unrealistic trades.
IMO the cubs just don't have much to build on winning atm except a few good prospects, Colvin and Castro. Sorry.

          I hear you man.

Just want to keep it realistic and fair trade wise, while keeping it fun.

          Hard call haha

The Cubs are a tough one. The problem with the Cubs is that yo have a ton of players who are old, who have massive contracts. Your best option is going to be waiting until the trade-deadline, and then blowing up the roster for good, young prospects, and young, serviceable big-league players.

Build the team around the young guys on it: Starlin Castro, Darwin Barney, and Colvin.

Here's a move you might want to look at: IRL Castr is a mediocre SS (defensively) and there's been lots of talk about moving him to CF, where he can use his speed, and strong arm more effectively. That'd let you move Barney to his natrual position of SS(Where he played in college), and allow you to pick up either a good 2B, or a good SS.

It gives you options: You could try to get Reyes in the free-agent market. Or pick up a good 2b to take barneys place.

I hope this makes sense. :P

Could anyone give some fair realistic trades for the Angels?

I would consider trading some top prospects for a pitcher like Jimenez to give you a pretty solid rotation.

condiering how good ubaldo is in the game he would have a deadly rotation in the playoffs

                  weaver
                  ubaldo
                  haren
                  santana (possibly)

Well my rotation as of now is weaver, haren, sanatana, chattwood, and palmer. I just don't know how much I would give up for Ubqldo though. What would you say?

Also, I'm using Ridins roster, so Ubaldo is on the indians

In real life the Tribe gave up two A potential prospects (in the game) and then two players that weren't in the game. Just to help you out with what might be considered fair
