I can't decide whether I should go thru with this trade or not.

      Cards (me)
      Rafael Furcal
      Jaime Garcia
      Corey Patterson

      Marlins
      Chris Coghlan
      Hanley Ramirez
      Dewayne Wise

Can't decide as it just seems to unfair to the Marlins, but it's Hanley and he'd fit in nice with my new look Cards. Arg.

Yeah I think I'm going to go thru with the trade. I could def use some bats in the lineup. I'm trying to do a Cards franchise with trading Pujols, just to mix it up a bit.

                  How about this one:

                  Chi. Sox(me) get:
Hank Conger (Solid young catcher, 1 year contract)

                  Angels get:
Ramon Castro (2 yr. contract, 35.)

The Angels get a good defensive catcher, who, if given a decent # of at bats could put up around 20 hrs a year. The Sox not only drop salary, but we'll also pick up a decent catcher to replace the aging Pierzynski. Conger brings a decent arm (Better than Pierzynskis), and should develop into a decent catcher.

                  Fair?

I don't see any scenario the Marlins trade Hanley in. Just trying to give the guy a fair deal.

People want to play with the "untouchables" and that's fine.

Also love the avatar, this could be our year.

I believe that Hanley could easily traded for a prospect package since the Marlins are always under the "salary" umbrella. They are always looking to re-tool, and for enough good to top prospects, they would part with anyone.

So, for some reason Erik Bedard has lost it. He was the starter for the AL All Star Team with a 2.11 ERA and now, hasn't even gone five innings in last few starts. Everything is getting hit hard and if I want to win in the postseason, this can't happen. So, here is a few trades I have worked out.

                            Mariners Get:
                            Matt Garza

                            Cubs Get:
                            Erik Bedard
                            A Prospect Pitcher

                            Mariners Get:
                            Edinson Volquez

                            Reds Get:
                            Erik Bedard
                            Prospect

Both teams are the in cellar of their division. Thoughts?

If I were goin after a Reds' pitcher, i'd want Cueto over Volquez...Since the Reds are in the cellar, they'd have no use for Bedard whose a veteran that makes money......Prolly have to offer a trade that includes just talented prospects...same scenario with the Cubs...remember a last-place team wants to get rid of veterans for prospects and salary relief, not take back another veteran

I pitched with them both last night against the Rangers and they both gave up two runs. So, I'm torn. I hate to ship Bedard off with prospects after just a stellar first half, but I just can't risk him falling off during the stretch run. I rely on pitching to heavily.

I can get Brandon Phillips and Cueto for Bedard and Dustin Ackley, lol.
