Yeah I know, i didn't want to give up Kershaw, but I knew that starting pitching is something i have to improve on, i have a great young bullpen, but the rotation is under done...

becuase the CPU decided to change its mind on the Gutierrez trade i had to modify that one a bit but i still got him...

    Giants:
    LF Carlos Gonzalez
    SP Clayton Kershaw

    Marlins:
    SP David Price
    SP John Lester
    RF Tyler Colvin

    Giants:
    SP Michael Pineda
    SP Jeremy Bonderman
CF Michael Choice (CF 'A' prospect that i didn't really want to deal)

    Royals:
    CF Franklin Guitierrez
    LF Scott Hairston

Different from the original, but it does now give me huge depth with two super-utility guys off the bench, Scott Hairston and Jerry Hairston Jr...

and i managed to work one more to again improve my pitching depth...

    Giants:
    SP Clayton Richard
    SP Matt Maloney

    Rockies:
    SP Clay Buchholz

    Rotation:
    Price
    Lester
    Buchholz
    McClellan
    Gio Gonzalez

    Ratings:
    Contact 29th
    Power 1st
    Speed 11th
    Defense 18th
    Pitching 1st
    Overall 1st

I'd say I definatly improved my team haha...

      2) Mariners trade Ichiro, Milton Bradley, and Aardsma to the Braves for Heyward and Kimbrel. I like this because I am a huge fan of J-Hey, but know its unrealistic as well.

Wanted to know what people have done with the Mariners, especially with trading Ichiro? Thanks for the help
First off I got rid of Bradley...I hate him as a person but is still a moderate price to trade. I picked up Juan Rivera from the Blue Jays for him.

As for Ichiro...you can get a lot of return for him. Shop around.

Good call...I may try that out and just move Phillips to outfield when Utley comes back. I think this might work considering Ibanez is having a great sesaon hitting over .300 20 HRs 60+ RBIs (just after All-Star break). I guess I need to figure out if I want to get rid of Ibanez.

Is Jose Guillen still availible in free agency? If so, I would pick him up. Gives you a strong right handed bat and he is still pretty good in the field.

Hmmm...ill keep him in mind...Nova has been struggling for me in my franchise 2-5 with a 5.13 ERA. Might send him down to AAA. Will give him one more start to see how he does.

When the game comes tommorow, and I start my franchise, I usually make a trade for joel zumaya. I don't know why, but I do.

Ye not a Bradley fan either. The problem with the Mariners is they have so many holes to fill. I just can't figure out what to trade Ichiro for. I would like a solid clean up hitter. Thats why I was leaning towards the reds deal, because Bruce could be my 4 and stubbs could lead off. Plus I get Chapman to set up league. I will probably trade Aardsma to for a SS. Maybe a stephen drew or lowrie type.

Haha you too, I love that guy for some reason. I've had him on my team since he broke on the scene, love that heat out the pen.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

Ok so after the first game of week 3 in April with my Athletics, Matsui breaks his shin and goes down for 1-2 months.

Now if you know the Athletics that takes pretty much my only power threat from the left side. I had already decided to trade kouzmanoff but I was going to wait till May but the injury to Matsui kinda forced my hand to find some lefty power.

So I started looking around, and wow there are hardly any lefty 3b haha. So I decided to go after Pedro Alvarez. I offer the pirates kouzmanoff,(pot c) barton,(pot b) and a 21 year old sp from my AA team with A potential and a day later they accepted.

So this fills two problems for me for at least two years when Alvarez's contract ends. So what does everyone think about it. Btw if anyone was wondering the Pirates sent kouzmanoff to AAA, Bartons on the MLB bench, and the A pot SP is in the AAA rotation.

                      P.S. can't wait for Matsui to come back.(3.Matsui 4.Willingham 5.Alvarez 6.Carter)
Also signed Felipe Lopez cause I had no one to give infield players days off cause I carry 13 pitchers.

Just signed him, released Cam. Drew is now on the bench for now. Hoping i can put together a monster three player package to snag Bautista if Jose doesn't work out.

I think I should give up now. The Red Sox have 4 SS in their organization in 2014.
                          They are:

Like I said, if you like to play like that then more power to you. But the Indians are a small market club much like the Royals, Twins, Athletics, Rays and won't trade away young talent for guys who will be free agents in a few years.
