I can get Brandon Phillips and Cueto for Bedard and Dustin Ackley, lol.
i wouldn't wanna give up ackley but i REALLY can't stand bedard.....but with that said, personally i would do that trade in a jiffy

I would do that trade in a jiffy as well, if it wasn't for his 13-3 record with a 2.11 ERA heading into the All-Star break. Makes me think he can rebound, that's what's holding me back.

I'm not giving up Ackley, just interesting to see what you can get sometimes.

Hmmmm.....you're surely stuck in a pickle.....if Bedard doesn't get better, his only options are the bullpen or the minors for a bit....u can't let one bad apple ruin the bunch

Just pulled 2 trades before heading into my first year with the Mariners

          Franklin Gutierrez for Clayton Richard
Jason Vargas for Chris Young (Diamondbacks)

My 3 hole hitter was Miguel Olivo or Carp based on matchups, but I like Young to be my 3 guy regardless of matchup. Also, out of all my pitchers in Spring Training Vargas was horrible (had like a high 4 ERA) so it was easy to part ways with him.

You think that Vargas trade is fair? I don't think ARI would do that, unless maybe you threw in a high CF prospect. Someone say like Trayvon Robinson or Greg Halmen.

For those saying the CPU trade intelligence is realistic, I just traded Ryan Rowand-Smith straight up for Big Papi. No way that would happen IRL, therefore CPU is not realisitic.

Eh I dont really feel guilty, I mean its only a game and with trades as a GM your pretty much just trying to screw the other team anyway.

So you found one trade that wouldn't happen and the whole system is shot, don't get me wrong the system does need some work, but you have no idea of what trades would/ wouldn't happen in real life, just because it is not likely to happen doesn't mean it wouldn't, you only have to take a look back to realise that, just like the CPU in mlb the show, real life GM's can make some boneheaded decision in the heat of trade deadline mania...

                        Giants get
                        C A.J Pierzynski

                        Twins get
                        P Francisco Lirano
                        P Joe Nathan
                        P Boof Bonsor

                        Chicago gets
                        Larry Bowa
                        Ryne Sandberg

                        Phillies get
                        Ivan DeJesus

Those are just a couple of examples from plenty, just because the CPU does some bad trades, doesn't mean they aren't possible in real life...

Whoever thinks CPU trade intelligence is realistic needs their head examined...MAYBE 1 outta 10 CPU proposals is realistic...and that's a BIG maybe

I was shopping Ryan Theriot around looking for either a 2B or SS back up mainly cuz im just not a fan of Theriot and I can across the most ridiculous deal I've seen yet. I can trade Theriot for Brandon Phillips straight up. If I go thru with it they won't take Phillips back for Theriot so they must really want him or something, I just can't understand why the trade is even possible. And with a rookie at 2B it makes it so hard to not go thru with it.
