Hmm this trade is really difficult..

Twins trade ( first in divison by .5 games )

Fransico Liriano 27 YO A potential... Nasty ace stuff but after 2 straight starts of 8 and 10 runs allowed and a high 5 era... Walks a lot of hitters but strikes a lot of hitters out.

Danny Valencia ( Don't have to trade him but would make it more fair ) 26 YO B potential hitting .200 but hot as of late on pace for 18 home runs and 60 rbis plays great defense.

Royals trade ( 14.5 Games out... )

Mike Moustakas 22-23 YO A potential batting .270 with 15 homers and 50 rbis in AAA.

I don't want to give a divison rival who will be good in a season a true ace ( at times has the stuff ) and a talented third basemen that can hit be their number 6 hitter for when they get good.... Plus a have a lefty dominant lineup so a lefty pitcher will dominate me when I have to face him.

Thoughts?

Moustakas would never be traded for Liriano. Never. Youd have to throw in Liriano and 2 As. He is pretty untouchable IMO

JJust started an Astros franchise. My lineup is just terrible sitting at the trade deadline I am in last place.

I've continued the rebuilding process by trading Brett Myers to the Nationals for B pot SP, a B pot CF and SP Yunesky Maya, who has C pot but has good minor league numbers and will replace Myers in the rotation. I may trade Bourgeious since he has D pot, and maybe Brandon Lyon or Barmes as well. I would love to get Lee and Sandy Rodriguez off my hands but they are both doing terrible so I don't see why any team would want them and their semi big contracts.

Seems like a weird trade because normally its the last place team that is giving up solid major leaguers for prospects, not the other way around. But regardless, it seems like a good trade because Liriano is very inconsistent in every franchise I've played.

I'm playing an Astros' franchise as well. My first piece of advice, unload Wandy Rodriguez, Carlos Lee, and Brett Myers (nice return for him from Nats by the way). Assuming you're using Knight's rosters, Wandy is owed 4.4 mil per year until 2014 and Lee is owed 6.2 mil per year until 2013.

I sent Wandy to Detriot for Brennan Bosche (main piece) and Phil Coke (fill-in starter). I'm still trying to unload Myers and Lee, but I'm probably going to wait until the deadline so I can get some nice deals for both. My primary goal is to free up cash though so I can make a splash in free agency as I may get lucky and find Jose Reyes or Prince Fielder available.

As an Angels fan, NO WAY!!!!

Conger the only bright spot for our catchers in the whole organization. And they wouldn't trade Walden, even in a bad season. Only Downs is consistent and Waldens really young

in the offseason going into year 2015-

Dodgers get:

SP-Zach Wheeler (B overall, A potential)- 13-12 4.56 ERA
CF-Brandon Nimmo " " .313 23HR in AAA
IF- Reese Haven (C overall, B potential) 296 AB .278 2 HR in MLB

Mets get:

Matt Kemp (year 3 of 5 year deal. he's due 53 million in the 3 years i have him)

Dee Gordon- the dodgers were on rebuild and he was due a lot of money. he does have high potential in the game but he hasnt had a good year in the majors for 4 years (career .237) so i figured (if it were real life), the dodgers would be willing to trade him for the package i offered them.

Good Deal?

Yes you should do that trade.

You woud probably have to trade Reyes, Ike, and maybe a prospect. Then you would have to get someone like Theriot to play SS or you can play Tejada or Turner their.

Not only that, but they don't get the players they need back.

You get Conger, they have terrible catching. You get Walden, they have no 'pen.

They get Gordon while they already have Aybar, and they don't need Kuroda too badly with already having Weaver/Haren/Ervin. They probably should've gotten a decent catching prospect instead of Kapler, who is of no use to them not only because he's not good but also because of all that OF currently there (Abreu, Torii, Bourjos, Wells) plus Trout.

I'm playing as the white sox and I was offered kershaw and lee for Ramirez and Zito. I acquired Zito in a deal from the giants. I realize its some what of a lopsided trade but Kershaw will command alot of money in the offseason and make him expensive to resign while Alexi Ramirez is still locked up for 4 years.

I was also offered a deal that would involve hudson and chris young for dunn and peavy. I was tempted because both of these players could help my team alot.
