were you refering to me?.....I'm not speculating on what is/isn't wrong with it. I have no idea what the inner workings are. All I want to do, like most others on here, is provide SCEA with what information we can, then they can take the ball and roll with it.

It's a GREAT game....it's thiiiiiiiiissssssssssss close to being perfect

      No......
I'm not referring to what guys think is happening in the game...or trying to...I'm one of them...
It's the guys who think they are mentalist inside the minds of SCEA...and think they know what THEY(SCEA) want/will/can do in regards to this.

Ok, fair enough. I'll admit, I'm an idiot when it comes to the workings of video games. I'm just trying to get the powers that be as much useful information as I can, to possibly help them along in anything they can do.

If not, then we can assume that the CPU teams THINK they have made offers to them, but they aren't registering, and that is why these prospects are making it to FA.
I'll see what I can come up with...

          Do I dare? Why not.

          Wish me luck, and Godspeed.

No promises, though. Anyone wanna try this with me?

I'll do it for two teams. Definitely the Giants (I see Lincecum and Sanchez consistently on the list.) Not sure on the other...

So is it even worth starting a franchise with all this going on?

To me, it is worth it. Because, with 30 team control, I can get around these issues by becoming "hands on" with every team, signing players, offering arbitration, renewing contracts, making trades, etc.

Also, I know last year, that the patch that fixed the disappearing trade offers in franchise mode worked on EXISTING franchises. I would think (though I can by no means confirm it) that if SCEA is able to fix these issues in a patch, the fixes will work in existing franchises.

1st sim done! Freaking 2:00 AM.

Okay, I'll go into more detail tomorrow. I have screen shots and observations.

                  2015 top 5 FA:

                  F. Gutierrez
                  A. Harang
                  J. Cueto
                  C. Pena
                  R. Porcello

None of which are players from my two CPU controlled teams!!! We're about to solve the problem guys!

                  Looks good, eh? Better anyway.

We'll talk more tomorrow. I'll just say this:

My Profile team was the Yanks. CPU teams Rockies and Giants. I offered ALL renewable and arbitraton players the default contracts across the board on these teams. And all players, as far as I can tell with these teams, either took MY deal, or one of the other 27's.

This is big. We're almost there.

Let's just hope test one wasn't a fluke...

Ok, so just to recap....as far as my amateur eye can see, part of the problem is if you make contract offers to players (that aren't agreed to) or arbitration offers during the 5 day exclusive rights period, these offers are disappearing once the Free Agent period begins. It's as if the offers were NEVER made. This would be why someone said earlier that he lost a free agent whom he made an arbitration offer to, and didn't get any compensatory pics. The reason being that the arbitration offer didn't stick after the exclusive period.

This could explain why these younger players who should still be under team control are finding their way into the FA pool. Because the CPU THINKS it has made an arbitration offer, but when the FA signing period begins, these offers disappear. Thus, it is as if the CPU is "non-tendering" them, and they are becoming free agents. The problem isn't as evident in the first couple years, because the players haven't developed enough to gain HUGE contracts in free agency. However, in 2013 (or 2014) the young players making it to free agency ARE developed enough to get HUGE deals, thus making budget room decrease, leading to the big name older free agents left unsigned.

The bigger named FA's bug is for the 2014 season and not 2015. Those names aren't a big deal but it's not the right year for the main FA bug anyhow.

You should have received compensation though.
Type A and B players do formally decline. I've gotten the message before "X has decided to decline arbitration and remain a free agent, you can continue to negotiate a contract with him...".

I'm out with a hamstring (great gift after turning 30 - a softball hamstring injury...just to suspicious), so I will be home later and will make it a point to grab a pic of a type A or B declining arb.

I was using the Tigers, and simmed to the offseason (using 30 team control, everything set to auto except for the Tigers)

In the first day of the offseason, I made arbitration offers to Magglio Ordonez, and Jose Valverde, and made offers to all my "contract renewable" players.

After I simmed to Nov 1 (first day of Free Agency period) I noticed that Valverde had an offer from Kansas City. So, I clicked on him to make a better offer, and I noticed that I could offer arbitration again.

It seems that if you make an Arbitration offer BEFORE the free agency period, to a potential MLB free agent the CPU clears this on the first day of FA....
This is what happened to me....a previous arb offer was just dumped by the game.

I had training to manual. This prolongs the issue by one year. I also have screens from 2014....hang on, posting them now.....

How did you handle profiles again? Was it User as Detroit, and then fake profiles for 2 other teams, the rest as CPU?

I would like to try and run some sims later. Trying to replicate what you did. I think you may have found the root of the problem.
