Well we know it didn't fix the sound issue while booting... I haven't seen any significant changes.

The booting sound issue can't and won't. E patched. This was covered on release day

Me niether. My guess is that is has something to do with online play, since the server was down for maintenance this morning.

Mine patched and went to sportsconnect. No news on what is in the patch. Guess I'll jump into a game and see if I notice anything.

I haven't downloaded the patch yet but what I wondering is how do the developers know what areas to patch? Is there a feedback section and where do they get there information? Is a first patch, which seems pretty sudden, things the developers know about right about the time of release? I might be mistaken but aren't there only a couple patches waranted per game? Do developers listen to the OS community regarding patch requests?

There is (at this moment) a 37 page Bug thread. The developers do listen to the community very much, more so than many other games in my experience.
I'm sure there will be a comment about what 1.1 is all about soon enough.

One can only assume the devs go by the Bugs/Glitches thread here on the OS site. I believe they also look at their own SCEA forums as well.

They usually do 3 patches. (depending on what issues there are)

1 patch is done on release day to fix lingering bugs they didn't have time to fix in the last few weeks of development.

The 2nd patch usually comes out a week or 2 after release when the forums blow up with complaints about various bugs/glitches etc.

The 3rd patch usually comes out 4-6 weeks after game release and this is usually the biggest patch or "title update" patch that addresses the biggest concerns and bugs.

If there is another patch after that, it's usually a follow up patch 6-10 weeks after release.

They also have people at SCEA that get paid to find bugs/glitches in this game. Maybe they fixed this:
