It's almost impossible to judge pitches out of the zone yet the CPU can IMMEDIATELY pull back when the user releases the ball.

    2. Pitcher's confidence should NOT be increasing when the batter is fouling off pitches, especially if he's throwing the same pitch repeatedly. If anything it should remain neutral or decrease.

    3. When players are brought up to the majors, I'd like to be able to see their previous minor league stats. They're nowhere to found until you send them BACK down to the minors. Very cumbersome.
    1. Agreed.
    2. Yup.
    3. Add to that a CHOICE to bring up players both in Sept. and Spring Training. I started a Nats franchise, and, sure enough, Harper was up ASAP in Sept. He was also kept on the ML roster after Spring Training 2012. I wanted him to start in AAA, but I'd have to use an option on him to do so. I want to be able to promote myself, not just automatically have all 40 on board.

Yes to this! Shouldn't have to waste options in these situations, again very cumbersome.

I agree with the two posts above as well.

I also would love to see my name in the game and to have an updated and awesome looking Busch Stadium. I want all my hard work to pay off in addition to the Arch pattern in the outfield grass.

The Cardinals stripes also need to be slightly higher, closer to or on the calf.
This would also grant the ability to have stripes on the stirrups. I would also like four inch stirrups.

Yeah....except if you start Spring Training on the 40 man roster and are not put on the Active Roster, an option is used, it's for the entire year, so you're not burning another one in September, it's the same as the one in Spring Training.
This is real life I'm talking about, so the Show has it right.

OK, just so I understand: If I drop Harper to AAA during Spring Training, his option is used for the year so if I call him up in Sept. but send him back down, I don't use another one?
What if I send him down in March, bring him back up in May, then send him back in August? Is that one option all that is used?
            I appreciate the info.

              1 option
It's actually 1 option YEAR....so you can shuttle him up and down at will during that year.
You'll notice that even when you send him down....his options will remain at 3(or 2 or 1 depending) until the season is over and the off season begins. It's at that time that the option is removed and it will show 1 less.
It will be automatically deducted for players that were on the 40 man option during the off season regardless of whether you moved a player or not. Being on the 40 man and NOT on the 25 man at the start of the regular season.... from season to season uses an option.

                Mlb 12

                Gameplay:

-Calling or ditchin the cutoff man after the throw.
-fully manual sliding (if I want to make a headfirst at homeplate even tough I'm save by a mile I should be able to)
-ability to argue calls (player or manager)

                Modes/Options

-OPTION TO SAVE EXHIBITION GAMES PLEASE!
                -play off/world series mode
                -presentation overhaul
-abilty to set the game starting time
-create a stadium (although Russel said that will probably never happen)
                -fully customizable HUD
                -battin stance/windup creator
-controller rumble when you make contact with analog hitting
                -MLB Today feature
-set up every game situation possible (replay classic moments or just create a tied game in the 9th)
-fully free roaming replay cam, taking shots from the crowd!
-calibration tool like the guitar hero games have to reduce lag on certain tv's
-weather changing from sunny to cloudy to rain and visa versa.
-when on screen info pops up (for instance the top strike out pitchers) highlight the player they show it for. Now you always have to look where his name is in the list.
                -ballmarker looks cheesy

                The little things:

-talking players (calling for fly ball, basemen screaming "steaaal!" when a runner goes etc.)
-messy dugouts (they'se perfectly clean now when you see a cut scene there)
-the field degradation should also apply to the grass. Every stadium has a picture perfect field. Rough it up here and there.
-cut scenes of the crowd when catching a homerun ball
"When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation."

-no fake players on any team or organization
-improved backround/city/buildings outside of all stadiums
-having the ability 2 play with teams lower than double-a
-all updated retired numbers in each stadium
-all updated stadium improvements ex. during offseason

Hey everyone there is one thing and really only one thing I want on MLB 12 the show. When doing a fantasy draft id like the players by each team to display the teams uniform type and cap have been drafted by. When they show the batting order before the game and the hitters that are due on deck it looks weird to see the players playing for that certain team to all have different jerseys and hats. It would be really simple, how many times do you see on ESPN or MLB Network when a player is traded they instantly have that players new teams cap and jersey. It would not take much effort to put in a program to perform this. It is the only reason I do not do fantasy draft. I would do fantasy draft seasons every single time if they put in something like this.

I think everyone already knows fielding needs significant work, we were kinda just letting that one go. Plus, thiis is only a thread for discussion, it wasn't created by the devs to gather opinions or something like that.

As for your last sentence, I completely agree, and this irks me in all areas. Manual baserunning should actually be manual, Manual Sliding should actually be manual, and so on.

For what it's worth, there was "total" control in an early build we played. Where there was no assist at all to get you on the right track.

The game was almost damn near impossible to play or field with it. We tried, and tried, and tried, it was focus tested to the max. Other games that have a "slower and far less realistic" ball off the bat speed it is easier.

But this game is more more in line with real baseball, that it made it damn near impossible. They left it in however for RttS, since the camera angle used for fielding gives you better reads to make the play.

But I am sure they will be working on something to allow for it in the other modes of play. But let me tell you, it was not as easy as just having it as an option with how the game plays at this time.

Speaking of fielding, I'd like to see more realistic fielding from CPU players with mediocre ratings.
