I know I'm reiterating points that have already been made for the most part, but the key issues I encountered with Franchise Mode in '11 were as follows:
The Draft - players rated highly overall with little or no potential are chosen ahead of high-ceiling prospects. Also, if we control all teams in franchise, can we please have the ability to simulate one pick at a time during the draft? I don't want to make every pick for every team or have to simulate the entire thing. Can each prospect be more unique, instead of each having the exact same batting stance, delivery, etc?
Trade Logic - Should depend more on how competitive a team is (I saw far too many last place teams adding payroll at the deadline while playoff contenders trade key pieces for prospects). It would also be nice to have the ability to assume a portion of the $ left on a player's contract as part of a deal.
Stat Tracking - This has been beaten to death, but more in-depth historical career data should be saved for each player (majors and minors)
Roster Moves Related to Performance - no matter how poorly a player is performing he'll only be replaced due to fatigue or injury. Why not sit him or send him to the minors to get someone else in the line-up, rotation or bullpen?
More Accurate Award Selection - Gold Gloves were awarded to players alphabetically and often times went to players who were DH's or backups
Expanded Farm Systems - A, AA, AAA?
That's all I've got - thank you for giving us the opportunity to provide our input.
