Nothing wrong with that. Classic is definitely my pitching mode of choice, but I definitely want to try out Pulse.

After using a few different pitching options the last few years and now PULSE.
On slithrees recommendation, I am gonna give this a go tonight.

If you've never tried it I think you're in for a real treat.

Pulse is now officially my favorite interface, but I still see myself running a parallel franchise or switching to it from time to time regardless.

Let us know how it shakes out for you.

          "Radial Randomness"

          Best description ever!

I use Classic on All Star but I do have to up the Human Control Sliders.

As it is, I walk like 5 batters a game.

Thats because I subscribe to theory not to let the big bombers hurt you. So, I nibble like all get out, and, unless they have a very low plate vision rating, I end up walking them.

Re: Classic pitching Anyone who still uses?

I played a full 162 game season with The Show 10. I used classic pitching with the Reds. I finished the season with a 4.10 era and lost to the Yankees in the World Series. My statistics were pretty accurate. I played the entire season on Veteran with sliders.
So with 12 I have tried pulse pitching and I didn't walk many. I was 18-8 on all star. I wasn't giving up many runs. Team ERA was around 2.80. I went back to classic and have adjusted sliders. I am now 24-22. My ERA is now 4.03. My bullpen is getting blown up. I am struggling more with classic pitching with this years game. I can't seem to nibble.....I seem to throw way more meatballs. I have experimented with the same pitch and same release point of the x button on back to back pitches and one will go up in the strike zone and the next one will go down in the strike zone. No were near the same results. Is it totally random on classic? For some reason I remember it seeming to not be quite as much in 2010. It gets soooo frustrating but I like how sometimes I feel no confidence in the next pitch I am going to throw. Sometimes I feel like throwing the controller. lol I don't want it to be easy but at times it feels too random. Any tips for classic on this years version?

I also pitch on Veteran level. My sliders are in the roster section, but, I set human control to 2 and human consistency to 8 and get realistic results.

I'm using Classic still and really enjoying it.

One tip (I forget where it was posted) was that for off-speed and breaking pitches (curves, sliders) is to just tap X instead of holding the button down like you do for fastballs. You'll see more break on your pitches using this method.

I play on All-Star with no slider adjustments for pitching and my ERA is around 4.00 and I walk 1-3 batters a game.

I enjoyed Pulse but the circle gave me a headache after a while, and I also enjoy Analog, but used it last year so Classic is a nice change of pace this year for me.

I kinda do that now. Example....if I have a righty pitchy to arighty and I put the marker on the inside black and tap it X on a sloder it will break out over the plate or sometimes across it. If I hold down the X it will usually stay inside. My problem is thrown pitches low in the zone. They keep coming in high on me.

I found holding the X button longer helps getting pitches low. I did practice pitching and learned release points for different pitchers. Now, this does not work as planned every time, but it gives me a plan based on what should be.
