Re: Anyone else getting a Vita to play this game on?
I can't believe there hasn't been a pre-order bundle with the PS3 and Vita versions. This is one of the vita's few cross platform games. Playstation is letting you download a free copy of other cross platform games; if you get them on one system, you can download on the other for free.
While I'm not suggesting you should get a free version of the vita game if you buy the PS3 version of the show, I don't think it would be unreasonable to get both games bundled for like $80.
As crazy as this sounds, I may actually skip getting the PS3 version of the game if there isn't a bundle. It's much easier for me to play games on a portable system rather than monopolizing the TV. I actually plan on playing the vita show more than the PS3 version anyways, so I may just skip getting it on PS3. Thats bizarre, considering I bought my PS3 2 years ago specifically for the show. In a way, the Show is the main reason I'm buying the vita as well.Comment

Re: Anyone else getting a Vita to play this game on?
No. The vita version of the game just seems too similar to the ps3 version. I'm fine with the visuals/gamepaly remaining the same for the "take on the road" sort of save sharing it allows. But I want some features that aren't in the PS3 version. As it is now MLB 12 on the vita just doesn't warrant a purchase to me if the only real added benefit over the PS3 version is portability.Comment

Old boy, that's exactly why I want the Vita. I want more similarity than dissimilarity. The thought of taking franchise on the road as well as RTTS is exactly the selling point for me. I love the idea of saving to the cloud and not having to have another RTTS or franchise on the portable. A butt for every saddle, I guess.Comment

Although if the vita falls in price later in its life cycle I may give in if they add something you cant get on the PS3 version, besides the save compatibility and hardware specific features. I play DS games at home often because you cant play those games anywhere else, same reason I own a 360 and PS3. I dont play many games on the road so I am a bad example to use.Comment

Re: Anyone else getting a Vita to play this game on?
Just FYI for anyone that lives in the midwest and has access to a Nebraska Furniture Mart. They are giving a $50 gift card on Wednesday with the purchase of the Wifi version of the Vita. I live in Kansas so for me it's about a 30 minute drive. I'm still on the fence but this is making hard. So in essence, you could use the gift card for The Show in a couple of weeks.Comment

Do people think the game will be as playable on such a small screen though?Comment

Re: Anyone else getting a Vita to play this game on?
Wouldn't see why not. The PSP game was playable. I played my first show experience on the PSP while deployed. The next year, when I was home, I bought a PS3 just for the Show.
The Show on the PSP played pretty good. It wasn't limited at all by the screen size. The thing that limited it was the game options and the lack of analog controls. The Vita fixes this.Comment

Re: Anyone else getting a Vita to play this game on?
I had a vague interest in the Vita when it was announced and figured I'd pick one up eventually, but the cross-platform save stuff for The Show definitely sold me on it. Not just for The Show, but for the fact that this could be something that (hopefully) becomes the norm for all sports titles.Comment

It was when it was on the PSP and that had a smaller screen! Also we have an additional analog stick so it actually plays truer to the ps3 version now than it ever has before.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment
