Re: Anyone else getting a Vita to play this game on?
I heard about this thread at gamefaqs. I created an account to post on this....lol.
I must be honest. I purchased a vita on launch day just for this game. I had 09 for the psp and wore that game out. I loved it. So naturally I thought this would be the game to top them all. To hear that a game that is 3 years older on an older system has more presentationi s absolutely absurd. I will in no way, shape or form support laziness on a developers game. Also to hear the excuse is that its meant to be just picked up and played on the go, not sat down and played for long periods of time. Hog wash. I am sorely disappointed at this.
I hope more people do not support this type of laziness.Comment

Personally, yeah, I'd like to have the full presentation in, but on the other hand, think of how nice it'll be to get in 2 FRANCHISE games in less time than it would take you to finish ONE game on the PS3.
That, to me, is the selling point.
My only concern at this point is the Vita itself. I finally made my way in to BB the other day and picked up the display system and I'm not a big fan of the smaller buttons and the Analog controls felt about the same as the PSP's stick.Currently Playing:

I understand the disappointment of not having the option of the full presentation, but it's not like SCEA hid this from us: they were up front from the jump about the Vita version being set to Quickplay and that was their decision, based on research they did.

I'm 50/50 on the presentations not being in because on one hand I usually skip the presentations anyway when I'm on the PS3/PSP (MLB 09), but on the other hand it's cool to have the option of having presentations.
I just gotta play the Vita version for myself to judge. Can't wait till midnight tomorrow!Comment

Re: Anyone else getting a Vita to play this game on?
The analog stick on the PSP was some little slide analog with tight snap back to center. It didn't really rotate so much as side around on one plane. If you push it up/down/left/right it doesn't actually tilt.
And the quality of this game is so much better than the PSP iterations it's ridiculous that people would even compare them.Comment

I've heard the "design decision" thing too many times to ask for another answer as to why it was a decision to leave out full presentation. If there are actual memory limitations (specifically with extra commentary), I will stand aside and fully understand that. If it's because they just thought that we wouldn't want it all anyway, that just doesn't make much sense. Same thing with them removing zone analog batting last year... because focus groups thought it was too hard. Leave it in as an option, and let us decide for ourselves. They brought it in this year, and I'm very glad how responsive they were to that.
I hope they can do the same next year for the Vita and full presentation (as an option, alternative from the quick play default), as well as an option for a normal/smaller ball size.

See, I'm all good with hearing about it being a design decision and stuff, but if it was a design decision for a default option, that would make much more sense. Not having the presentation because they assume that most people are not going to miss it on a handheld just doesn't make sense.
