You'll look like a complete idiot, but take velcrow and put some on your shirt and then on the back of your phone, velcrow it to your chest area and film depending on if you'd be tall enough for it to take a clear enough view of the screen it's self. Or bring someone with you.

Ok, back from Best Buy... Day #2.

Immediately started up a franchise with control of all teams, simulated spring training & wanted to see the "line-up logic". Manager line-up's are objective & fluctuate all the time. DID see Granderson batting 4th, Chipper 7th, Howard 3rd, Rollins 6th etc for their respective teams... Maybe a small roster tweak here & there & the AI will put Howard in the 4 hole etc? Much improved as a whole IMO...

The new ball physics alone are worth the purchase! And, I wasn't unhappy with the physics in MLB "11". I used "Broadcast" fielding & the way the ball & ball shadows move around are SO much better! In MLB "11" & @ ATT, any ball hit down the RF line would ricochet hard off the wall, be collected by the RF & fired to 2B which evaporated MANY 2B's... Not anymore! On more than one occasion, the ball softly made it's way over the 1B's head, slightly tailed away from the RF & my runner made it to 2B comfortably...

Some of the new animations are subtle, but VERY noticeable. It seemed like the SS had a few in-between hops to deal with which triggered small side-stepping animations. Saw an in-the-hole dive by Belt (1B) which triggered a new & well done "throw from the sitting down" position...

Back to the "heavier" - "weight" of players... Balls that were normally automatic outs MLB "11" are not so in MLB "12". And, that's not reflective on only OF's. The new ball physics, player reaction times, speed etc will all create different outcomes on defensive this year. Defense is SO much more fun! I could go on & on here, but in sum... Don't overlook defensive substitutions, defensive angles & smart usage with your dives! Dove towards the line & made a great catch with Gordon (KC), came crashing in a shallow hit ball to center with Cain (KC), dove a little early & the ball got behind me. Yes, that was possible last season too, but if feels SO much different. Back to the ball physics for a sec, that ball that got past me came to a stand still 20' feet from the wall, picked up by a backing-me-up Francoeur rifled to 2B for a close play. That ball rolls all the way to the wall for an automatic 3G in MLB "11"...

Pulse pitching: Watching the videos & seeing the curls expand & contract (pulsing), I told myself that any player with any rhythm at all will master this style of pitching immediately... NOT THE CASE! I was throwing balls all over the place!

True Broadcast: Watching the videos & seeing the camera to the SP, then the batter, then the fielder, then back to the SP, I thought an average game would take forever... NOT THE CASE! Skipping through an entire series of cut-scenes or replays is lightning fast. Liked broadcast presentation last season until I actually got a hit. This season, you'll see what yup want to see, skip what you don't in a nano-second... Very well done!

Maybe an isolated incident, but I was making the opposition's SP's look down right dumb when batting! The SP's have always been WAY too good IMO...

My only concern her, which MAY have been another isolated incident... "K's" were not accumulating on the RF brick wall @ ATT?

Being an exclusive franchise guy, I must have ended 1/2 of my posts here with "Damn Vita"! And, I'm sorry. What us franchisers MAY or may NOT have lost out on during the development cycle is MORE than excused here ;-)

This game is SO good, I'm not sure what consumed me more today? Enjoying the gameplay? Or, how I could somehow get the display box open, replace the MLB "12" disk with $100 bill (technically not stealing?), not being captured on video, getting past the security censors & eluding Best Buy employees?

I'll try and get it up by Tuesday but seeing how we just saw 3 different people in this thread get to play it, I may be the last to post it haha.

But yeah guys if you saw the Youtube video posted earlier, trust me.. it looks BETTER in person on your TV. Animations are smooth and amazing, batting stances never felt more realistic (as well as when you hit the ball you actually feel the outcome on your controller) for example hitting a 98 mph fastball over the fence and you will literally feel how hard you hit it, that's pretty freaking sweet. Stadiums look GRRRRRREAT SCEA improves it every year not only because they're great but also with the help of you guys and the CD guys so props to you! I seriously hope this game gets Best Sports Game Of 2012 at the Spike VGA's this year because this seriously feels like a whole new game, a much better game.

Also if you want to record, I'd suggest bringing a partner with you.
Why did I move here? I guess it was the weather.

I have Macier Izturis for his batting stance. It's really close to Dudas real life one. I'll take a pic and try and post it.

If any mets fans out there want these, here you go: batting stances for current mets players that I changed: Turner: Genric 67, Bay: Genric 158 and Duda- Macier Izturis. It's off topic yes, but (Factzzz) wanted to know which one I had for Duda and I told him, but figured I help any mets fans or MLP people who were looking to change their stances.

Well, if they really do use the 3 Year 50/25/25 weighted ratings scale, he might be rated higher this year. His numbers overall were actually better last year than in the previous 2 years.

Answering a few welcomed PM's on how this game carries more "weight"...

Balls in play feel more like a baseball being hit with a wooden bat, rather than a golfball being hit with an aluminum bat...

The speed of everything just feels SO much better. The OF's speed, baserunner's speed, even the speed in which a base stealer slides into 2B is toned down. You can actually kinda appreciate the way his slide seeminly slows down a bit at the end of the slide, with more exposure to the ground...

The appropriate speeds in which batted balls ricochet & spin off of different surfaces... Simply great!

Hit ball sounds are VERY different, too. Makes a sharper sound on a well hit ball etc... Another subtle enhancement which adds to the authenticity...

If you have time, just view his stance on Duda and then compare Dudas one in real life, it's pretty accurate! Also the follow through is one handed, like Dudas. And anytime! I'm always here to help. I also make many of the mets top prospects and they're very accurate for the way they look. If I knew how to get them from my Mac onto here, I would show you guys.

Glad to see the Phillies vs Mets video from best buy.

The other official gameplay videos that had been posted had me worried because the game looked kind of slow and the frame rate did not look to great and I thought that it would not be as smooth or smoother then last year and I did not like the way the ball was coming out of the pitchers hand etc.

Then I saw the game play video coming off the screen and it seemed to be very smooth and everything seemed to look good and fluid and come out of the pitchers hand and the ball seemed to come off the bat better.

Oh also this might sound like a weird request to anyone who goes to play, but can you tell me if the relief pitcher for the Kansas City Royals, Tim Collins has his own pitch style, and his photo in the game?

And does Ra Dickey throw an 80+ mph knuckeball?

I don't know if my voice is audible in the video or not, but when I was filming and Rollins was called out on the check swing I said there is no way he went around on that. The replay of it definitely showed that.
