Ok heres my story...

before i begin I want to get one things out of the way about this years MLB The Show.

IF you've NEVER owned or played MLB 11 RUN to buy this game if your like me and have played MLB 11 you have to agree that this years game is a very small step up.

Its smooth, it's pretty but every year it is. This is the most consistently made title year per year, but The Show is starting to "show" it's age.

I played it messed around with settings and other than that i wasnt playing with great satisfaction.

but it has to said that this years game was sacrificed so that the dev team could focus on the ps vita version being compatible. And i can understand that. when sony is TELLING U you have to do something the whole team has to listen and in doing so had to regrettably SCALE back the ps3 version alot as far as overwhelming features/graphics etc.

I mean theres stuff behind the scenes i guess, but i would have wanted a customizable fielding camera. So in one aspect MLB the Show is dangerously teetering on NHL territory now where they refuse to fix camera angles that should be fixed or at least updated...

But the show isnt stale yet its just becoming less of a reason to keep a PS3

I LOVE pulse pitching. Just in the three innings that I spent with it, I don't think I've had that much fun pitching in The Show ever. I actually had to focus on pitching and it wasn't just old habit reflex. I can not wait for March 6th. I hadn't quite picked up the new hitting mechanic quite as easily. Probably has something to do with the triple digits that Strasburgh was gassing me with. I want to go back to Best Buy and play again, but I would rather hold on to this feeling until March 6th. Great Job making pitching fun again SCEA!

Agreed. Loved the new addition of it while I was there. Simple, yet challenging, the perfect mix of user input and ratings based.

Definitely gonna be used by me this year.

LOL, I have to ? I'm sorry, but I disagree with you. I believe it's a moderate and realistic step forward.

well yea, they run a business - not a charity.

refuse to "fix" camera angles ? which are broken ? i guess you're talkin' about the once in a blue moon time when a wall gets in the way of the ball and you can't see it in a HR replay ?

Yes it was Columbia. Almost didn't find it as it was "hidden" in the back of their very small video game section. Facing the door to the back.

Probably my only regret was not using one of the lesser pitcher for an inning to compare with Arrieta. But my GF and I had just left the gym and I was in black sweats and my black hoody sweating profusely so I'm sure they thought I was thinking about sticking the place up.

From what you posted, I cannot really take your word that you have played the game. If you truly have played the game, didn't you touch Diamond Dynasty and the team creator that goes along with it?
