But something that needs to be done is have the ability to stretch out relievers in spring training to convert them to starters. The Rangers have done it the last 3 years with CJ Wilson, Alexi Ogando, and Neftali Feliz. Both Soxs are doing it this year with Daniel Bard and Chris Sale.
It seems like there should be a way for RP to increase stamina up to the 60s in one year then up to the 70-80s the second year they are starting.
If they stretch out in spring training and then go back to a reliver role, then the stamina could return to its original position after a month or so.
