Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
Do the sounds of the show cut off after a pitcher throws the ball or what?
Cause I added music for teams cheers/jeers last year and it sucked hearing a song playing while a batter was walking up(which wasn't the problem), but it continued to play after he hit the ball(until the song finished).
I know I can make the song length shorter, but sometimes theres spots in the game for a song to play for 20-30 seconds, other times it's only 10 or so.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
According to some that have the game, GABP does not have a logo in the backstop. Which is a small thing... I know, but it bothers me seeing that empty spot (for years now.)
Two questions, Once the game is released, is there gonna be a somewhere we can request things to be patched in?
For anyone with knowledge of what SCEA can patch, (or not Patch) is something like a logo in the backstop something that could be patched in?University of Kentucky Wildcats 8x Champs

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
What ST stadium in MLB12 is the closest looking one to the FLORIDA AUTO EXCHANGE STADIUM?
http://media.thestar.topscms.com/ima...d05387fa0.jpeg
Date Palm is close too....with the seats jutting down the line in the OF corners...
Main Street(minor league stadium) has similar light poles....a batters eye which is close...but more foul ground and a busier backdrop(buildings)
But Riverboat looks like a winner for you as well...except for the bridge in the background of the LF backdrop. It's got... big batters eye...jutting seats in the OF corners...busy blue OF walls(signs) and light poles(slightly different ...but 4 of them)

Just curious as to the following default settings this year; for example, are they Pure Analog hitting, Pulse Pitching, Analog Fielding, and Real Time Presentation?
Thanks for the impressions fellasComment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
I have a couple questions. Sorry I don't know if these questions were answered already.
1. Is there a lot of new player equipment?
2. How is the commentary? Are there new lines or is the commentary pretty much the same as last years?
Thanks in advance.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
My experience with this series says that perceived AI hitting aggressiveness increases as difficulty level increases. Now, I'm sure you and the other CD guys would know more about the programming in regards to this - about whether or not AI aggressiveness actually changes at all or changes in regards to difficulty - but interface difficulty DOES get harder the further up the ladder you go.
When the interface gets harder, inevitably more meatballs are thrown...and nibbling just off the plate gets harder...so the CPU seems to swing more because they have more hittable pitches. I've seen this in previous versions of game. My pitch counts have generally been higher when I have a little more control (less meatballs).
Am I crazy, or would you throw more pitches either (A) on AS or (B) as you get BETTER with timing the pulse meter on HOF?
Either way, I see that Skyboxer and 42 and a few others are using Pulse on HOF, so hopefully they can chime in on the pitch counts subject. Some guys playing on AS giving feedback on this would be pretty helpful as well.
I am in love with this aspect of the game! The variety on the K's are great this year in my opinion. I made this recap vid with you in mind to show some of the variety. These K's were all done with pulse pitching on HOF:Last edited by Heroesandvillains; 03-03-2012, 01:51 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 12 The Show - Q&A Thread
I'm not talking names here either...as I couldn't care less if the Yankees trade Jeter for 3 prospects if they are 15 games out at the trade deadline.
But here is the thing...and a lot of what you see in the "trade" threads. In year 1 of a franchise....you are going to see the CPU make moves that it deems necessary in the "scheme" of what the programmers have in place for it's roster logic. That's one thing.
Another is how it handles injuries....it seems the CPU has too much urgency to fill an injury slot at times...especially in year 1.
To me....hit and miss. Sometimes good...sometimes....huh?
Maybe it takes some getting used to or adjustments?
I don't have the Move.
Commentary...there is a lot new commentary. Are you going to hear only new commentary. Certainly not. Are you going to hear a lot of old commentary?...definitely.
