Am I correct in reading that the attempts for the Challenge of the Week are all free? If so, SCEA is really trying to keep me from finishing a season!

Why can't I change which arm a player throws with or which side he bats from in Diamond Dynasty. Or even his height? I might be able to understand the not being able to change which arm he throws with or which side he bats from (because then players could cheat and change their players to favor hitting against a lefty, and so on), but why not height? That shouldn't affect anything gameplay wise, so that players could cheat, because I'd like to make my team that I was on last year. Kinda hard when I'm 5'9" and the shortest player that plays my position is 6'4"

Still though, I love DD mode and I haven't even played a game yet, its so freakin legit, lol

One more question: Just starting to experiment with Diamond Dynasty. But, I can't get passed the team creation, because the first 5 team names I've tried are "taken." With the sheer number of people playing this game, you'd think duplicate names could be OK. Is this a bug, or just the way it's gonna be?

With PLAYER PROGRESSION... in '11, each player had an OVERALL progression number (positive or negative) during each off-season. If I'm not mistaken (and correct me if I am), you only see progression on individual categories in '12. Which would be depressing to me. Anyone else notice that?

It's still there just look at your manage roster screen anytime after the season is over with and you will see their progression.

I simply cannot find a definitive answer from any authority on the matter -- is the new wildcard format available for franchises at the moment? If not, will it be patched in later?

Is it possible to change the game menu screen?

Last year you could choose your fave team, and you'd see their stadium in the background. This year you still choose your fave team, but the background is still the default mlb the show one with all mlb logos.

Can anyone tell me how game saves work for the Show 12? I have kids that like to interrupt whatever I'm doing on a regular basis. Can you save pretty much anywhere during your game and reload later on? I'll probably play the be a pro (sorry I know that's wrong) mode the most, so being able to save whenever would be a huge feature.

All those things you mentioned effects gameplay in a positive or negative way so we don't allow you to edit it. Having a team full of 5'6 guys with extremely small strike zones is an exploit so we don't allow you to change their height. Same thing with what side of the plate they bat from. Most people would just have their entire team bat as switch hitters which would be another exploit so it's not allowed.

How do I re-download the March 6 roster update? I downloaded it when I first turned on the game but I screwed some things up with my team and saved it and I want to start again fresh with the March 6 roster.

I noticed in the March 6 online roster that the Yankees 1st base coach was changed to have no beard, but now every roster I download from the vault it is back to the guy with the beard. I really want the roster version with the first base coach with NO beard.

Any help would be appreciated.

Was Scott Posednik removed from the game? He has a very high chance of making the Phillies opening day roster, and was in their organization all last season. There shouldn't be any reason for him to be removed..it would be a bummer to have to use a user generated version of him.

Love the game so far..but nitpicking wise there are some things i don't understand. Justin De Fratus pitched in 2 maybe 3 games for the Phils last year, and SCEA made a pretty accurate looking avatar for him. However Mike Stutes who pitched the entire season with the Phillies looks NOTHING like Stutes. Not a big deal, because everyone else on the team looks incredible..just kinda strange.

Can you pick what team you go to in rtts mode?

I haven't played RTTS in 12 yet, but in previous years you could either select a team or get drafted by a random team. So I'd assume it's the same this year.
