    Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Currently 15-8 with the Marlins at the end of April. That leaves me level with the Phillies. The Braves carrying on where they left off last year by going 6-17.

Destroying the ball with Stanton. Currently hitting .333/.368/.789 with 13 home runs and 28 RBIs.

On the pitching side Big Z has been the stand out so far going 4-0. Struggling to get much going with Buehrle and Josh Johnson has yet to record a win (only has 2 losses though).

Really enjoying this and I'm not sure if I'll be able to bring myself to start over when OSFM comes out.

      Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Through 10 games I've 3-7 with my Blue Jays. I've played all but 3 games (all losses). The only 3 wins I've gotten is from playing the games myself.

          Spring Training Detroit Tigers Franchise

I started out rough around the edges the first week of the spring going 0-6. Since we have slightly turned things around with a 4-2 week to up our record to 4-8.

          This weeks games were
          @Hou 1-0 W
          vs. NYM 1-4 L
          vs. NYM 5-6 L
          vs. Bal 7-6 W
          @ NYM 3-1 W
          vs. STL 3-2 W

          Our average leaders are
          Miggy .255
          Prince .256
          Peralta .257
          Young .257
          Raburn .294

          Home Run leaders
          Prince Fielder 2
          Peralta 1
          Miggy 1
          Avila 1
          Eric Patterson 1

          RBI leaders
          Peralta 6
          Miggy 4
          Fielder 3
          Avila 3

Other notes is Valverde is perfect in save opportunities 4-4... and Verlander has a 1.80 ERA in 15.0 innings this spring.

              Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

Man I just stole a win from the jaws of defeat against the Rays. Rays vs. Blue Jays in Toronto. James Shields vs. Ricky Romero. A classic pitching duel.

I gave up a solo homerun to Luke Scott in the 2nd inning. 1-0 Rays. In the 3rd inning I gave up another solo jack to Sean Rodriguez. 2-0 Rays. Later in the inning Jeff Keppinger got an RBI single against me. 3-0 Rays.

In the 5th inning after I only had gotten 1 hit against James Shields I hit a solo homerun to straight away center with Brett Lawrie. 3-1 Rays. In the 6th inning I got a leadoff double with J.P. Arencibia. A infield single moved Arencibia to 3rd. So with runners at the corners I hit a line drive fly ball to RF and Arencibia tagged and scored. It was very close. He was just barely safe.

Then the 8th inning came. I got a leadoff double with Kelly Johnson. I then had a very big decision to make. Do I let Arencibia bat or do I send up a pinch-hitter to bunt? I decided against letting Arencibia bat because I have struggled with him so far. *So I send up Tim Hudson to bunt. He lays down a perfect bunt moving Johnson to 3rd. I then never saw this coming. After I got down 0-2 I got a hanging curveball and drilled it to RF for a homerun. 4-3 Jays! Who saw that coming?

I didn't have Sergio Santos ready in the pen so I had to go with Francisco Cordero who was ready and he walked a tight rope. I got B.J. Upton on an easy groundball out to start the inning. Then it got shaky. Sam Fuld pinch-hit and I walked him on 4 pitches. He then stole 2nd. So I've got they got the tying run at 2nd with only 1 out. I then walked Chris Gimenez on 5 pitches. It just seemed like nothing close was being called in those 2 at-bats. I got down 2-0 to Ben Zobrist and then I thought I had done blew it because he drilled one all the way to the wall that Bautista caught just a step short of being a homerun. Then I got a comebacker from Jeff Keppinger to end the game. Jays win.

Man I've only pitched with Cordero for 3 games so far but It's been scary every time including already giving up a game losing homerun. I'm going to think seriously about trying to trade him.

So after 11 games I'm 4-7 but I've won 2 straight and go for the sweep of the Rays next game.

*And just one note about pinch-hitting with Tim Hudson. I'm pretty sure you couldn't use pitchers to pinch-hit on last year's game. At least not in the DH games. I think that's new and if so it's a much needed improvement.

Just picked the game up and boy, I am not a fan of pulse pitching. Seeing that circle dance around can be distracting. Anyway, gonna be starting up my Mariners again after winning the WS last year in 2011. I will certainly be making moves to improve the team. Maybe a pitcher and some hitters like a Jason Kubel. Dunno, look forward to getting underway.

I did a sim up to 2014 and traded Mike Minor, Freddie Freeman, and an A potential, but F rated, 21 year old catcher for Carlos Santana.
The year prior I traded Jair Jurrjens for Mike Adams, Chris Getz, and Leonys Martin. I dont know if the one with the Indians will work out as I want, Santana is struggling.

11-21 with the Cubs. I've lost six games in a row. Man, I'm really struggling. I know we don't have the greatest offense, but this is just ridiculous. I can only seem to hit with a few guys. Starlin Castro is hitting .190 so far.

I'm currently looking to package Alfonso Soriano and Randy Wells hopefully for a good bullpen arm, or someone who can consistently hit the ball!
