    Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

I am sure that this has been brought up before, but in my RTTS that I'm doing until the OSFM set drops, the simulation stats are pretty terrible. I think I counted 14 or 15 teams that had a team ERA of over 5. My RTTS player finished ninth in the AL in batting average at .341. It just seems that the simulation stats are way off offensively. Way too much offense. Hopefully SCEA can find a way to scale this back with a patch or something, because it really takes away from the franchise experience.

Is anyone else seeing the same thing? Sorry if this has been brought up here, but I couldn't find anything.

4-2 in my Texas franchise. Felix was the Opening Day starter against the Sox. Napoli is my cleanup hitter based on his spring performance. Moreland was sent down to AAA and Hawpe(released IRL) won the starting 1B job and has been drilling the ball from the 9th spot. Andrus was thrust into the leadoff role and struggled. Moved him back to his natural 2 hole and Kinsler back to leadoff. Beltre and Hamilton are M.I.A., but are working out of it. Nathan has 3/4 saves.

Moreland is killing the ball in AAA btw. Will probably keep him there as long as Hawpe is playing well.

        Re: 2012 Franchise Progress Thread

I have a franchise with the Yankees. I am 11 games away from finishing my Spring Training, I signed Jay Gibbons and Tony Pena cheaply to see how they are during spring training, chances are both of them are going to start in the minors anyways. I've pretty much decided my roster will be Jeter, Granderson, Cano, Teixeira, A-Rod, Swisher, Ibanez, Martin, Gardner, Cervelli, Chavez, Jones, Bill Hall. I've decided on the first three starters as CC, Kuroda, Pineda, still trying to decide between number 4 and 5, two spots for three pitchers, Nova, Hughes, Garcia. Rivera as the closer. Out of the three starters whichever does not get the in the rotation will be my long reliever. That leaves five spots in the pen which will go to, Soriano, Robertson, Chamberlain, Feliciano, (either Pettitte or someone else (if I decide to start Pettitte in the minors which is pretty likely)
        My Franchise:New York Yankees

        Teams For Life:
        MLB:New York Yankees
        NHL:New York Rangers
        Football(Soccer):F.C. Porto

Has anyone been able to trade for Jonny Venters? I have put together who knows how many varying trade packages and they won't move him. Seems to be his high rating, low salary, Braves team strategy, and the Braves reluctance to take on additional payroll keep him from being moved.

Just started a Royals franchise. This team is awesome to play with (at least on offense, their pitching is garbage). However, I'm 0-3 after getting swept in the opening series by the Angels. Lost 8-5, 8-5 and 6-4.

Gordon has started hot with 2 HR and a triple, Hosmer has a HR and 5 RBI already and both Butler and Francoeur have gone deep too. Really thinking about using them once the OSFM rosters are out instead of my lowly Mariners!

Well, I waited for OSFM and I am going to take a break from the other game for a while to give the Show it's rightful chance.

I was on the fence between Toronto, Cleveland and the White Sox. I would have felt guilty if I went with Toronto and sucked with Bautista, so I guess I ended up with the White Sox.

I am determined to learn to hit without guess pitch. I hate it, it feels like a gimmick to me.

Anyways, in my first game I beat the Rangers 7-1 with Konerko hitting 2 HRs over 425 ft, and Dunn two HR went over 450 ft.

I even got the Texas 2-step award.

I am most critical of the Shows Franchise mode, but I'll give it a good chance.

Started a new franchise with the royals. Should be pretty good. They are LOADED at minor league pitching and they have some other really good prospects. I plan to play about 1 game a series or so and try to get through a couple years.

Are you guys starting your franchise now since the new OSFM rosters came out? Or are you going to wait for opening day to start yours?

                        HELP

Hey question for you guys. I'm at the end of my first season with the Red Sox trying to build them into the dynasty they should be and I'm trying to sign Dustin Pedroia and Jacoby Ellsbury to long term deals and it's say's that I can't because my roster is full? So, I fast forward ahead and they become free agents even though I wanted to offer them deals when I had exclusive rights. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong? I tried releasing someone but that didn't work either. I get the same message no matter who I try to re-sign, even Joe Smoe in A league.
I'd like to talk to you about a serious problem. Packs of wild dogs that have taken over most of the major cities.

Marlins just won their opening night in the new stadium in dramatic fashion.

LoMo hits the 1st HR in the stadium(A 2 run blast), Infante singles home another, Bonifacio hits a HR(I know crazy right lol). Bell comes in for the save in a 4-3 game, walk a batter leading eventually to a 4-4 game going into the bottom of the 9th.

John Buck crushes a double to deep Center, leading to Greg Dobbs entering the game as a Pinch Hitter. Dobbs hits a walkoff 2 run blast down the line in right leading to a crazy 6-4 walkoff win to open the Stadium.

Solid player, don't think his ratings are spot on in this game but good for a non star 1B
