Whatever the first year is, then yes I am in it. It was a three team deal with the Cubs that got me Matt Garza. I can't recall who I traded, but it was a lot. I gave up James Paxton, Nick Franklin and Danny Hultzen, along with a few other B's and C's.

    My lineup is:

    Chone Figgins
    Corey Hart
    Ichiro
    Adam Lind
    Jesus Montero
    Justin Smoak
    Dustin Ackley
    Franklin Gutierrez
    Brendan Ryan / Kawasaki
    EPL - Arsenal
    MLB - Seattle Mariners
    NBA - Cleveland Cavaliers
    NFL - Philadelphia Eagles
    MLS - Seattle Sounders

That's an awful lot to give up for Garza. Paxton and Hultzen project to be #2 or 3 starters and Franklin should be an everyday player based on his bat.

Yeah, that's two years down the road. The chances of me getting there, if at all, are slim. I typically do one season, and maybe a second if I'm lucky. So the future, while important, is not my major concern.

Hultzen and Paxton went for Garza and, somebody else I think, who I then turned and traded to Toronto with Franklin for Lind and Alvarez. There were others mixed in, but that's the main pieces of it.

36-24, tied with Boston for first in the AL East.

I have moved Jeter to 8th in the lineup because he isn't hitting, and I traded Freddy Garcia and Joba Chamberlain to the Cubs for Jeff Samardzjia. I then signed Carlos Silva, who has gone 2-0 with a 1.63 ERA in both of his starts so far.

Grandy and Teixeira are tied with the team lead in HR with 15. ARod is right behind them with 14.

Teixeira has 46 RBI to lead the team, and Granderson is batting .368.

Sabathia leads in wins (7), K's (84), and has an ERA of 2.53 through 12 starts.

I have Nick Swisher on the trading block (hitting .077 with 8 HRs), and am looking to move him before the deadline.

Alright guys, so I finally think Im getting invested in a franchise...I decided to go with Baltimore. Im about to start Spring Training, but so far I've made a couple of moves:

(I dont remember the exacts of them)

Brain Roberts + a Prospect for BJ Upton
-Moved Upton to Second Base(he had some of his best numbers of his career at 2nd in TB)

              Acquired Dominic Brown from Philly
              -Moved from RF to LF

Traded for Tyson Ross SP, Oakland...I also have my eye on LF Michael Taylor

So here is my lineup- (not sure what my batting order will be just yet)

              C-Wieters
              1-Chris Davis
              2-Upton
              3-Felipe Lopez/Betemit/Andino Platoon
              SS-JJ Hardy
              LF-Brown
              CF-Jones
              RF-Markakis

I have my prospect Schoop moved to 3b in the minors because I think he will be better there than 2....Probably next season, or mid-next season I will be bringing up Machado and Hardy will move over to 3b until Schoop is ready for the call-up.

Next task is to evaluate the pitching staff over the Spring and figure out who is going to be with the team long-term and who wont be. After this season I would expect a complete overhaul of our rotation and 'pen...the future lies in Britton and Bundy!

I'll update after I get through Spring Training with my set lineup etc...

after winning the world series last year the start of season #2 in oakland picks up right where we left off in october
                Oakland at Los Angeles Angels
                Matt Cain vs. Zack Greinke
both pitchers threw a gem until i was able to get greinke in the 7th inning. a lead off double by bryce harper, and then a single to score him, then 2 outs and jason kipnis got on with a single, and then Devin Mesoraco Crushed a 2 run homer to put us up 3-0 and taking greinke out of the game. thats how the score stayed as Matt Cain pitched a complete game shut out allowing 3 hits with 8 K's and no walks on 90 pitches. game two pits Mike Montgomery vs. trevor Cahill

IIRC Upton played 2B for ~50 games or so back in 2006 or 2007. That was it. His original position when drafted was SS. He was moved around a lot due to his poor defense in the infield. He played 3B for a few games as well. But even in the season where he played quite a few games at 2B he still played a majority of the time in CF. If you move him to 2B, I think it would be only fair to adjust his defensive ratings as he was not that good as an infielder.

My goodness I can't catch a break on this game. Of my first 12 games, I would say in 9 of them I struck out 10 or more times.

In the last game of my series against the Rockies, I hit 2 HRs with JD Martinez and a inside the park HR with Jed Lowrie. I had the lead 3-0 going into the 7th inning but JA Happ got into a little trouble (took him out with 2 on, and they scored against David Carpenter), and then the bullpen gave up 3 more runs in the 8th and 9th to lose it. I struck out 9 times in that game.

Then in my first game against the D-Backs, Paul Clemens goes 7 innings, gives up 4 hits and 1 ER. My bullpen goes 2 innings and doesn't give up a single hit or ER.. I struck out only 4 times.... but I lose 1-0.

I don't know if I'll ever win another game.

Good call, Ill probably adjust his reaction down a bit thanks!

I decided to sim through Spring Training and just played the opening day game against the Twins...what a game...I hit a lot of HRs which Im passing off as an anomaly, I'm not going to adjust the sliders just yet...

We chased off Pavano after 2 innings, and 7 ER.

Britton's line was 6ip, 7H, 5R, 1BB, 3Ks....he got roughed up in the 6th and Dontrelle Willis finished the game out for us.

JJ Hardy and Upton had a HR a piece while Adam Jones and Matt Wieters both his 2 each!

Just had my best offensive output against the Mariners (i'm using Texas)

                        Yu vs. Felix

Texas made him through 87 pitches through 3.2 IP, then the Rangers attacked the Seattle Bullpen. Ended up being 14-1 final score. Keep in mind my starting lineup was like this...

                        SS Andrus
                        LF Murphy
                        3B Young
                        RF Cruz
                        DH Lee
                        2B Kinsler
                        C Torrealba
                        1B Moreland
                        CF Martin

                        Hamilton, Napoli, Beltre all hurt.

I am 29 games into my franchise with the Braves. I'm 18 - 11, in a three way tie for first with Miami and Philly. The Mets are in last, 3.5 out, so the whole division is very close.

I have a question for anyone else who uses the Braves or has Freddie Freeman. How is he performing for you? I've played close to 50 games with him (Spring Training + Regular Season) and he has yet to homer.

I don't have any difficulty hitting, about average I guess. Freeman is hitting .302, but it's pretty empty, only 4 doubles, the rest are all singles.
He just doesn't seem to have any power, just a singles hitter.

So I'm wondering, how is he preforming for you?

I'm only nine games in, but Freeman is hitting about .350 for me with a homer so far. I think he's got 2-3 doubles.
