PP is the way to go. I never used to throw walks, but now I do. Playing with the Nats (Strasburg) against the Cubs I walked their batters 4 times in the game. Felt pretty good.

Pulse pitching? Loving it, loving it.

Strangely, on the PS3, I suck at it, and got hot all over the park by the Twins last night. On the Vita, I'm much better and have had a lot of success, though I wonder if that's due to me playing RTTS and only facing woeful AA hitters... but then again, in that mode I'm meant to be a pretty woeful AA pitcher.

Either way, it's a great addition to the game.

No. Again - it is NOT user controllable this year.

I think im with the minority on PP. I just cant get the timing down and I am getting rocked. I do like it though so I will put time into trying to get it down. But I wont surprise myself if I go back to meter like I do every year.

I'm loving it so much....it's making me actually play games this year!

If they put in AUTO hitting as an option this year...and just let me pitch. I may actually give up manage only mode.(probably not...I love that mode too much)

bout to give it a try myself.
nervous but hoping it poses more of a challenge in regards to walks.
always been a stumbling block for me in terms of realistic franchise stats.

Right now top of the second with Lester and he is 53 pitches in with 2 walks. A bit too inaccurate for me at the moment.

Well with all this positive feedback I'm going to try it out. I'm installing now. First baseball game in a long time for me so hopefully it lives up to the hype.

I'm curious to why the people who love this feature so much love it? Is it because you walk more batters now (which is more realistic) and that is what you like about it? You like that you dont have any control?

Im torn and need to try and mess with this some more (I did play 2 full games last night after midnight). I put my pitching on all star and below. I then put all my pitching sliders maxed out with consistency and accuracy and still was not that accurate when I was hitting the circle at its smallest point. I found that extremely frustrating! I have no clue on any pitch where it is going to end up. If you want to paint the corners its a 50/50 chance it will be a ball.

Its tough for me because I really dont like the other options they give us with analog or meter so its pretty much pulse or nothing for me.

I must say I was a huge fan of what the other game did with the analog pitching and I would like to see the show bring that over to their game. That 1 feature allowed for accuracy if you nailed a pitch but inaccuracy if you didnt as it was all about release points and follow thru. For example a circle change had you pushing up and doing a half circle on the R analog stick. If you went over the half mark, didn't circle correctly, missed your starting point you would lose that accuracy. It put it in the users hands. It felt more rewarding to hit your point because you were the reason it did or didn't. I will say walks rarely happened with this for me though. Maybe 1 a game and 2 at the most...

EDIT: It should be noted I was pitching with King Felix in the 2 games I played

I like it as it's a better Classic Pitching mode.
The players ratings, fatigue, etc.. all come into play to affect the pulse pitching.
I've had some really great games with pulse and don't plan on leaving it. Throwing walks, and when a pitcher is on you can really pinpoint your pitches...so yes you do have some control and it's a good mix of "stick skilz" and player ratings mattering.

I don't know. I'm still torn on Pulse Pitching.

I just completed a game using it and I don't know what to take away from it really. I've always been a Classic Pitching guy and I am still most likely going to stay with that.

I seemed to enjoy using Pulse Pitching more with my relievers than with the starter. I'll give it a few more games and see if my feelings change on it.
